  1. Monga not even a scholar yet I presume?
  2. They'd probably take £60k for 5 years in those scenarios too though.
  3. Wonder if Enzo will kick off if our fans leave 15 mins early or not.
  4. I just can't see how these players are agreeing to halve their wages just for the security of a 9 year contract. They're doing themselves out of half their mo ey because whilst there's no guarantee in football, they'd back themselves to have a successful career more than 5 years at which point they renew or get a big pay day elsewhere.
  5. We also didn't have a single shot 2nd half until the closing minutes.
  6. One thing seemed quite clear to me when Enzo came in. The squad yearned to be told what to do and to gain confidence they could right the wrong of the year before. We'd become rudderless (ironic pun) after Rodgers seemingly going from extreme success to extreme decline. They got that and many welcomed it. They bought in to his methods right from the off but as I feared, after just a short period I think his ways also may have caused some concern with the stubbornness when under pressure. But overall he seldom hesitated in his methods or decisions and I detect Cooper being the opposite. I think he's been undecided on various things during the summer and couple that with the Ricardo decision I'm not surprised. I do also wonder if we are confident we won't see any points deduction now this season that mindset changes again at this early stage on other avenues.
  7. So it's the players who also want Premier League experience additions and to play 8 defensive midfielders? Christ alive.
  8. Yup. He won't help himself if he continues the stance with Ricardo as it will put huge pressure on him to maintain the buy in from the influential squad leaders.
  9. It's started
  10. We have 8 central midfielders for 3 positions, 5 of which are competition for 2 double pivot roles and then 3 for the 10 role in Bounanotte, El Khannouss and Alves. You could also argue Reid and Ricardo would cover the midfield as well. It's a big amount of players when you consider our trimmed number of defenders. I'm amazed we've not admitted defeat and loaned Soumare out again.
  11. They stretch themselves though to do the occasional big money signing. The average salary even for a promising South American talent is below what they would get even in the Championship, hence why they come to Europe.
  12. Exactly, very much a work in progress to alter him in to being a defensive midfielder. He'll be delighted that Morocco have also been using him in a double pivot 😂
  13. I might be being extremely naive but if his methods create a strong home record and good atmosphere but the opposite away, then he should be encouraged to set up at home how he sees fit and get the results but it's his tactics away from home that should be dealt with as a priority. We're not even talking about the record being OK by trying to nick results, it was pretty much the universally defeat after defeat. I think he picked up just 13 points on the road in just under 1.5 seasons in the Prem. Horrendous.
  14. The thing is, I'm not convinced we are sitting in a low block. We're picking a cautious and workmanlike team but asking some of them to do the role of creative players which they're extremely limited at. So we get the worst of both worlds.
  15. And if so, it's no coincidence Cooper's away record as a manager is diabolical at this level.
  16. @Foxes_Trust have the club provided evidence of what their due diligence was?
  17. Yeah, totally agree pal. Those defending his tactics and team selection from the off have excused him because of the top 6 opposition in our two home games. If he continued this against the rest if the league then we must act fast and get him gone.
  18. Doesn't help that despite trying to be defe sive, we gift teams at least 1 goal in the opening 30 minutes.
  19. Can only think about it from my own club, under Enzo he discouraged long range shots in general and as a result despite scoring loads last season we didn't score that many long range goals IMO. Under Rodgers we tended to score a good amount but that was possibly influenced by very good long range shooters in Maddison, Tielemans and Barnes. Under Cooper I wonder, his teams struggle to score full stop so not sure we'll be a good case study 😂😂😂
  20. England U20s won 2-0 vs Romania last night. None of Alves, Nelson or Braybrooke started the game and only Braybrooke came on as a sub with 15 mins to go.
  21. I didn't know that was a rule. They did have an option to extend anyway.
  22. Why on earth was Adam Wharton not in the squad for this round of games?
  23. Garried out me face one evening, I asked a taxi driver to drop me off down Braunstone Gate but he just dropped me off in Braunstone instead. Decent little sub 20 min 5km posted when I realised.
  24. There's a good chunk of the outfield squad that haven't been on international duty and I hope he's been working on fine tuning things. The midfield vs Palace has to contain Mavididi and Bounanotte. I could see him using Ayew off the right instead of Fatawu for this though. Hermansen Justin Faes Okoli Kristiansen Winks Skipp Fatawu/Ayew Bounanotte Mavididi Vardy Subs: Vestergaard, El Khannouss, Ayew/Fatawu, Reid, Ndidi, Alves, Iversen, Ricardo, Coady
  25. No, that lad is still about 11 There's been some recent videos put together on Monga, shown below. https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MDg4Njg0ODAxNDkxODE2?story_media_id=3439141804788833864_27552612512&igsh=Y3kxdWl5MG83c2ho
