  1. Doesn't mean Mavididi was a main striker when Wahi wasn't there. Prior to Wahi it was Laborde and Delort. Here's the stats of his appearances as a striker at Montpellier. Played about a 5th of games there.
  2. No he wasn't, that as Elye Wahi. Pretty sure Mavididi only ever played occasionally through the middle and nearly all his goals and assists have come when played as a winger.
  3. It would be extremely important for Cooper's career here to get an early away win. His record at Forest in the Premier League was utterly vile. He will be aware of that and hopefully has learnt from it.
  4. @ramadaone @Holly B any news on Braybrooke and Alves loans? Both surely need to go and play.
  5. Evans and Monga in the U21s then?
  6. Looks like his agent is family set up. On one hand it's surprising we have agreed terms with them but then maybe that's in the hope another club come in and can set up a bidding war on wages. This is a huge next move for player and family. Oh god
  7. I think it was more that the club pleaded with the players to behave in the lead up to the FA Cup semi final and a crucial period of the season and yet some of them still went out and got arseholed.
  8. It's very subjective though. Tielemans and Iheanacho single handedly dragged us to an FA Cup final with their performances in the QF and semis and then in the final, don't need to say anything. That was against a backdrop of Maddison and others having that covid party and could have massively derailed our FA Cup win, our 2nd biggest ever achievement. I think Maddison went on to be a great player for us and I hold no animosity towards him. Will always have a soft spot for him for sure but I get why others don't and why some think Tielemans ruined his legacy here.
  9. Roll another phat one Jon
  10. You could argue none of our signings this summer improve what we already have either so it's no different. Do those players improve their XI given they were only a point behind us last season anf we've list 26 goals from our team?
  11. I feel like I'm lobbing a sausage down Gallowtree Gate with my moaning. 100% agree. I don't think fans realise the diminishing squad value we have and how perilous that is for a club that finds it difficult to sell anyone other than the very best occasionally. The strategy at this club hasn't had the reset we were all hoping for.
  12. Already have loads of PL experience as well and collected some last summer too. Absolutely bizarre.
  13. A similar role to he did at Palace is about 30 starts this season then. Christ.
  14. Reid turned down a new deal at Fulham
  15. I'll say it again too, our record of purchasing players with Premier League experience has been just as wasteful.
  16. I think Mavididi is sadly one of those players that has to play through poor form to get out of it, not sure he has the mentality to be in and out the team but I hope I'm wrong.
  17. Is it though. Why would Ayew miss out on huge wealth from the middle east or stay put at Palace where he'd play regularly to coming here to be a fringe player. It's wishful thinking to fans who want to make themselves feel better about this deal. The same can be said for Reid. He turned down a new deal at Fulham to come here.
  18. Which is absolutely mental given he is one of very few goalscorers in this squad. Cooper is making it very easy to absolutely detest him
  19. Our recruitment was better last summer. I do not understand the strategy this summer, it makes no sense. It's not as if some of the punts we took last summer haven't paid off, at least 3 of them look PL clas in Fatawu, Hermansen and Mavididi. So upsetting
  20. He's also not coming here to be less of a contributor than he was at Palace, where he played most games. So where's him and Reid, another who wasn't leaving Fulham not to play, going to play? Mavididi and Fatawu will be on the bench far more than some of you presume.
  21. That's been the case for a long while and yet we've never been able to. Although it's no surprise as we struggle to sell players as rule. We are without doubt on of the worst clubs in the Premier League in the last 5+ years at moving players on. I did the research a while back, it's astonishing.
  22. And we're notoriously one of the lowest goalscorers in the league even with players like Zaha up there too. That is not a positive.
  23. Another thing that irks me about this deal is we'd never be able to push a club to do the same to us for a player at a similar stage to Ayew in their career. We had title winning heroes like Okazaki, King and Ulloa begging to leave and thr best we got for them was a nominal fee or a loan. We aren't a serious football club
  24. Also where's this notion we need to just stay up. If we stay up this season then everything's fine. Why is it? What happens next summer? Why are we in any better situation to sort the long term future of this squad when we've done what we've done this summer. Added nearly £10m a season on player amortisation on Okoli, Skipp and Ayew. It's an absolute disgrace.
  25. The saddest thing here is Alan Nixon has had 2 scoops on Leicester over the years that fans refused to believe and yet they came true. Rachid Ghezzal and Jordan Ayew. We overpaid massively on both. Ghezzal had been touted around for a loan with an option earlier that summer and instead we offered more to get him fixed up 😂😂😂 I'll celebrate Top and Rudkin's departure whenever that may be like a major honour at this rate.
