I thought that was after he left?
-
This is where it's balanced because if the pro deal in principle is not legally binding then he'd have had to notify the club he was leaving before end of May and that is in essence a transfer request and the player and agent then waive any loyalty bonus but the fee at tribunal would likely be way less than what we'd be ear marking. I suspect you're right that there'll be some annoying negotiation to reflect what we'd promised as much as the commitment he'd made on this pro deal in principle.

No idea mate sorry, i'm too busy being rude about Russell Martin.
-
That will be massively reduced with a relegation reduction surely.
-
I think that side of things is not anywhere near as concerning as his fixation on a style of play and subsequently putting undue pressure on ill suited players (requires world class players)
-
Pretty sure MK Dons nearly got automatic promotion the season after he left too. Absolute myth

Thats more scary than a positive IMO

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

Fuelling for running tends to only be essential when running for longer than an hour but if you go in to any run a but under fuelled and dehydrated it could cause you some bother so having some electrolytes/salt stick chew etc will obviously help. -

I think this is a lazy rhetoric if i'm honest. Atletico Madrid over the last decade or more of Simeone being i charge would in 90% of matches be expected to have 60% + possession due to the same approach from the opposition and yet its less than that. One thing is clear, with principles like Martin where he takes it to the extreme we certainly would have 65-70% every game with the game plan by teams to expose us by physicality and defensive errors and it'll be groundhog day.
-
Woken up to many texts from Charlie Methven saying exactly what a lot of us are saying. What on earth are we playing at going for Martin. Have we not learnt anything yet? Not to mention how appalling he's done at Rangers and made a mockery of by us whenever we've played his teams but League One is not an environment to go in to it arrogant and trying to play possession football. Cleverley tried it at Plymouth and was nigh on bottom at Xmas and changed to counter attacking football and thrived. Looked at Lincoln with the lowest possession in the league and pissing it. You need a high calibre squad and a high calibre manager to get that type of football to work and we'll have neither.

The season after he left MK Dons they nearly got automatic promotion after he'd only got them as high as about 15th. He inherited a Steve Cooper Swansea side who'd been in the playoffs 2 seasons on the spin and finished 15th. THE PITS

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

To be fair, this might be one of his few redeeming qualities. -
Sadly not. Ghezzal and Ayew were both things only he was pushing all summer. Why on earth does he only get the heinous scoops with us?
-
It's certainly smoked us out. We've discussed whether tonight is possible but Jordy is currently in NYC. I may however take a few tins down the park and get on Spaces.
-
I cannot believe he's done this to us. I'm ****in fuming and just text him

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
Ric Flair replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Realistically we the following players ought to be involved with the 1st team next season if they all remain here: Bade Aluko Jayden Joseph Tom Wilson-Brown Kevon Gray Sammy Braybrooke Henry Cartwright Louis Page Logan Briggs Will Alves Jake Evans Lorenz Hutchinson Kirsten Otchere Then be interesting to see the likes of Riley Carr, Tommy Neale, Mirsad Ali and Hugo De Lisle may well come through and challenge, some of them still very young and others 19/20 but if we are ravaged squad wise from senior players (hopefully most of the current lot go) then many are going to be needed. Might even be others from U16/18s we aren't yet too familiar with. Sadly I think Motsi won't be here. -
Yeah, that's the one. I like Whitaker at Tranmere as well every time I saw anything of Joseph last season but Webster already done it at a higher level.

Hahahahaaaa i'd have my arm out the socket if I tried to run with mine (labrador/border collie cross) -
Charlie Savage is a great shout, Whitaker at Tranmere or even Jenson Weir to reignite his career.
