Not the most exciting of signings but I really like Tommy Conway at Bristol City, not sure we'd get value for money though. There's similar or better abroad we'd get for half the price but that's the difficulty in buying young British players.

Lampard did better at Derby than Pearson did.......

Summerville, Rutter and Piroe.

I do like the fact we've had 6 days to prepare for this. I'm hoping for a tactical masterclass.

I think we need a whole new defence if we go up. None of them suit Enzoball in the Prem. Coady and Souttar have already been questioned on their ability on the ball, Vestergaard lacks pace so badly. James Justin cannot pass reliably enough either, it leaves Faes and Ricardo. The latter who's injury issues playing a conventional full back role render that obsolete now, so whether he can do the inverted full back role well enough in the Prem will be the question. Faes in my opinion is a squad player in the Prem. Maybe the above is all 2nd season Prem problems as opposed to fixing it all straight the way, but we'd definitely need a lot of additions to stay up.

Tactically superior makes a huge difference.

Yeah I am surprised by footy stats. I use fbref and we have the best xG for and against. I can't see how sites can be that far apart, it's quite a lot!!
-
Ipswich have been unbelievable, I don't think they've been given anywhere near as much coverage as we have. Crazy that is.
-
I'll be going through turmoil even with double digits points lead over 3rd far longer than I ought to. However I trust Maresca and the players to absolutely master the confidence, focus and mentality needed to ensure those worries are unfounded.
-
I suspect they would and to a degree we are insufferable. If you win 13 out of 14 games in the manner we have, it's to be expected from some. I'm always a bit more cautious and err on the side of negativity but this lot genuinely think they're the bollocks having won half as many games as us, not scored as many as us and conceded more? They've also somehow managed not to score vs Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke. If we had mirrored their opening 14 games of the season I'd be wincing at such behaviour from our fans.
-
It's going to be a frenetic game I'd have thought. I share the same fears bit have to put trust in Maresca and these players who have developed an astonishing toughness and resilience in just a few months. We need pace in the back 4 for Friday and play our game and we'll cause them just as many problems as they cause us, if not more.

I badly want us to turn these over. Their fans are insufferable at times. Twitter this week is genuinely astonishing. According to their fans they have a better defence than ours, a better midfield and a better attack. How on earth have we won double the amount of games they have, scored more goals and conceded less? They are a typically erratic team that for the neutral will be enjoyable to watch. I really hope we can deal with them, we've dealt with pretty much everything thrown at us this season. The atmosphere on Friday should make for a great game, looking forward to it. Really wish Ndidi was available.

Has anything been said about Yunus? Maresca didn't reference him still being out but he was nowhere to be seen at the weekend.
-
I'd not rule out him having a chunk of time off and then coming back to manage one of England's youth sides or an international senior side.
-
4-3 to Leicester. Mavididi, Fatawu, Vardy brace off the bench.
-
Southgate called up Kalvin Phillips when he was in the Championship. Its a position England have the least options in in my opinion. Winks has accomplished plenty in the game, he's proven at the highest level and a player Southgate was a huge admirer of. I think his form right now puts him in with a shout, or should do anyway. As he's said himself, this is the most he's ever enjoyed playing football. Quite some statement that is.
-
Mavididi will be relentless on Friday.
-
Racking them up big time.
-
That's what I'm thinking, we approached him when we sacked Rodgers and he declined it.
-
This is interesting because I'm pretty sure the links to Winks initially occurred before Maresca joined us.
-
It's like watching Muzzy Izzet in 2002/03 at this level. He is outstanding. My player of the season so far, as good as KDH has been its Winks who makes this team tick.

Don't think so but I could be wrong. -
I wasn't overly happy with Tuesdays lack of control and today was a bit of a battle but then again we've played Huddersfield, Rotherham and QPR away who are all the absolute pits and in some ways had to toil to get the job done. We move on, we have to be better in the next two games I'd have thought but we are so so difficult to get anything from and I love us. Just Ricardo left to score from our main starting XI. Staggering.

Heard good things about Jake Evans. -
Coady needs to get in the groove and he only gets that playing games. Sadly he's not that good on the ball at present/at all compared to our other CB's.
