  1. It's going to be bedlam. I think it's time we went to traditional full backs for this to deal with their obvious strength out wide. Piroe and Rutter will also be causing problems. I think it could be a 4-3 thriller either way.
  2. We need 71 points from 33 games, 2.15 points a game. It's actually a bit of a drop off from what we've been achieving. Every 10 games we'd need to win 7, lose 2 and draw 1 and we'd hit it...
  3. To be fair Sinclair Armstrong has the physique and unpredictability that could catch them pair out.
  4. Not team news or in game updates. Think they've done the odd post game article but it's pretty poor from them.
  5. I stand corrected, was told last week the plan was him to play a behind the scenes friendly (Popov, Ewing, Hughes etc too) and then the U21s tonight. Dare I say he's already in for the first team, surely not??
  6. He's going to turn Alves in to an absolute weapon ain't he. I'm picturing Adel Taarabt under Warnock.
  7. Dunno mate, we could do with some decent stewards.
  8. He's played twice for the 1st team already and has been heralded as one of the best academy products of recent years. Doesn't always equate to definitely making it but he's very talented. I trust Enzo to bring him through.
  9. Supposedly featuring for the U21s tonight away at Chelsea.
  10. I think they mean dropping down for 1-2 seasons only. The irony is we got Trey Nyoni poached off us and he's doing well in Liverpool's academy but there's every chance he'd have got promoted to the 1st team under Maresca and his route to 1st team football is solidified.
  11. Hat-trick on Championship debut
  12. Wanya Marca at inverted full back? You saucy sod.
  13. Don't Cook Back In Anger
  14. I'm bowled over by Maresca big time. The bloke just gets it.
  15. Do people drink soup on the continent at games or ever get out blankets?
  16. Yeah it can be, but can see why it's prevented that set up consistently. To deploy another striker who cannot press that's 1st touch equals losing the ball regularly makes it difficult to go with. Such a shame as his slide rule passing through to the striker or advancing wingers is as good as anything I've seen in recent years.
  17. The presumption that the reason for the atmosphere being the absolute pits was purely down to what we were watching on the pitch always made me laugh. If we cannot create an atmosphere when absolutely annihilating the league and being served up exactly what we've all been calling for and deserve after the last season or so then we never will. If I were a steward I'd treat lack of involvement in singing as seriously as antisocial behaviour. There's no place in the game for either. GET EM WALKING CAMPBELL.
  18. As we will likely find out next season, the gulf in class to produce end product week in, week out in the PL requires plenty. Unless he's improving significantly under Maresca then he's a 5 goals 5 assists PL player IMO which is decent but he's on for 30+ goals and assists this season 😂
  19. Best compliment I can pay Ipswich is their use of their forwards/wingers. It saddens me that in the modern game, strikers are becoming a dying breed. Ipswich have adapted to that by creating a system where such players cover the 9,10 and out wide roles. Chaplin dropping in is an absolute nuisance, technically brilliant. It's the role we call for Iheanacho to be allowed to do and have a striker ahead of him, trouble is his 1st touch can be utter piss flaps.
  20. I swear all of Southampton's points have come from injury time goals. Pony
  21. Not done much in the Championship yet has he? Two poor loan spells at Rotherham and Blackburn and whilst starting most games for Ipswich who are flying, he's not amongst the goals. With time he may turn out to be decent at this level but I can see why we opted to cash in for a reasonable fee + sell on clause. Tom Cannon done more at this level in half a season who's effectively his replacement.
  22. Bristol City have looked much better this 2nd half
  23. Russell Martin will hamper them, they may make the playoffs but he's not got it in him.
  24. Largely irrelevant then?
  25. Who did that considering we've won 12 out of 13 and had the best ever start?
