Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at

One to keep an eye on is Rafiu Durosinmi at Viktoria Plzen. Only signed in the summer and shitting goals and assists. -
Came on for the last 25 mins.

When our actual results are basically 3 points every game, the sheer domination in this calculation to narrow the expected vs actual to align is probably unlikely. The fewer the actual points, the easier to be on a par or better.
-
Is expected points based on xG only? I'd be surprised if there's been many games except possibly Coventry that we weren't superior in the stats.
-
I wonder if Mads will make his Denmark senior debut on Wednesday vs San Marino?

The one who throttled Chris Sutton and made David Hopkin cry at Wembley -
He'll get the sack in April when it's about a year too late.

The international break probably hurts Swansea the most, given their form. We won all 6 league games and could also feel our rhythm stunted but nothing changes for Maresca, he has a plan. They've some very good players. Humphreys was one I really wanted us to go for this summer, but we went for Doyle instead. Patino will try and dictate play and with the pace of Lowe and Jerry Yates we'll need to cut out thr over playing and careless mistakes. Yates reminds me of Vardy so much.

I think the momentum of the current regime will play a big part. I cannot emphasise enough about how important the new lease of life a management team that know what they're doing is. As soon as that wanes, I genuinely think clubs and managers should part ways. Look at the first 2 seasons under Rodgers, he was excellent at creating an environment that got the team playing well but got swan songs off Morgan and Fuchs for a good while longer than any of us had thought. Maresca is doing so with Vardy and given his unique characteristics and story, you'd not be surprised if he's got another season or so after this.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

I think we were linked with him as far back as Claude Puel days. -
Loads of promotion based add ons and a low release clause if we don't go up.

Pod being recorded tomorrow night as we did a special last night with Steve Walsh. That will be released in the coming weeks. -
He'll leave at the end of the season on a free, hopefully having helped us to promotion. What's evidently clear right now is that if we're going to play this system and team are going to treat us like a nuclear bomb then he's by far the most superior centre half we have on the ball. There's nothing else to say. We don't have to defend as much as other clubs at present and that will all change next season but its pointless moaning about Vestergaard putting in MOTM performances at this level because he'll get found out next season. Enzo doesn't miss a beat.

How many times under Rodgers did our players not appeal injustices to us? It was too easy to get away with it with us, we'd oblige. Mirrored our manager too.
-
If we're still top 2 come January with a large points lead to 3rd then I think one of two things will happen. If Ndidi and Iheanacho won't sign new deals then we'll buy a CM and another striker.
-
I thought he was brilliant at winning the midfield battle but since the return from the international break he's barely attacked the opposition box. Happier with his input though yesterday.
-
One thing worth baring in mind though is its quite possibly no coincidence he's stayed fit so far this season and played a lot of football. They've eased the burden on his game, he's not up and down up and down all game. It does seem a massive waste of his evident talents, especially at this level but we are a system team now, however clichéd that may sound and he's a vital cog in it.
-
What's the usual timeliness for a stress fracture in the back? It's been about 6-7 weeks since he made a brief appearance for Everton and then signed for us the following week.
-
I'd thought this too, I think he'd have just missed this one but if he'd put another 2-3 goals away in the rest of October and early November then he'd have definitely been called up the next time.
-
That's why I've been mulling over. Not sure how many changes there'll be. Although it's the international break, he will have to factor in that the likes of Faes, Wilf and Iheanacho will likely play twice whilst away.

How's Hlozek getting on at Leverkusen? He'd be the ideal striker under Maresca. Quite like the look of William Boving at Sturm Graz too. -
Haha you've read it wrong. It's Ricardo LB and Hamza as the inverted RB with Faes RCB and Vestergaard LCB (what both of them have been playing) Then when Ricardo needs a rest, Justin back at LB and Hamza inverted RB.
