Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Ric Flair replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought the £105m / £83m debate is in relation to the 3 years ending 2023/24? Hence why we were confident we'd not breached with the sales of KDH and Enzo etc. It's then assumed for 24/25 it drops. -
Interesting take. I disagree but have no experience of this. He is ready to play 1st team, which most 15-16 year olds aren't. I do wonder if such players would risk being stunted if they were to stay in the U23s and then go on loan potentially to a level below they're ability. I think the best chance of us keeping him is because he wants the opportunity to play at a very high standard at such a young age and we are likely promising him more than even the likes of Man City would offer him at this age (£30-40k a week when he turns 17)

Stay with us for another season and play 25+ games in the Championship and decide towards the end of next season. He can't sign a pro deal until 10th July 2026 anyway.

Whats odd is Kieran Maguire is very good pals with Nick Di Marco and Kieran seems to be the only one saying its unlikely the PL can pass down a points deduction to the EFL. -
Any banners or unsavoury chanting been reported at the polo this week?
-
Yeah, I've been impressed. Reminds me of Rudoni/KDH.
-
We had one shot at doing that when we'd come back up this season. The EFL don't allow it so that window has now closed.
-
Key positions are striker and central midfield.
-
I still think we've got major issues as the 25/26 year we'll only be allowed losses of £61m across the 3 years.

Rodgers is very effective of inheriting an underperforming club (see Liverpool and Leicester), getting the best out of their players in the first couple of seasons and then losing effectiveness. He tends to then leave with the club certainly no better off than when he found them but you can't deny the initial success. His track record with signings is ultimately what costs him because his methods and how irritating he probably is, lends itself to players only being able to put up with him for a few years before they check out. So the only way to counter that is being able to recruit well and refresh a group that will prosper with his ideas. Whether he signs players or not, he is instrumental in the recruitment department at his clubs, see Lee Congerton's appointments as evidence and so does have to shoulder a lot of that.

Thanks for posting these two posts in three different threads 😂😂😂

Any club that might be having to delay sacking their manager and appointing another manager due to financial implications is ran absolutely horrendously. Bottom line.
-
I'm more concerned he's still in his position than RvN is.

Christian Kofane at Albacete looks like he could be a very good player in the making

Someone might want to tell Ruud that then 😂

It is absolutely staggering. We're wasting valuable time, something we didn't do in 2023/24 when the likes of Southampton and Leeds did and it hampered them.

True

One of the biggest mysteries is why Enzo didn't get Delap to Leicester when he joined us. Had he already gone to Hull on loan before Enzo arrived?

If we've allegedly breached by £17m, that means we were on for a £60m breach if we hadn't sold KDH and got the wedge for Enzo. I honestly don't know what our angle was to navigate this, why we'd try and get any points deduction not dealt with this season but also not try and strengthen in January to stay up is perplexing. -
Touch of the Iheanacho's about that. Very nice

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Remember when we left Craig Shakespeare in limbo after the 2016/17 season? Felt like we left that week's before he signed a permanent deal. -
Don't let the disaster of RvN cloud the progressive manager option.
