If we are talking about sending the 13/14 team in a time machine to put them in a game against the current squad, I would tend to give the advantage to the more recent team based on the evolution of tactics alone. Playing out of the back, counter pressing, inverted fullbacks, box midfields. This team would probably cut through the 13/14 team for 2-3 goals before they knew what hit them. Current championship teams are familiar with the concepts and have drilled how to stop teams like Leicester. The team from 13/14 would have very little experience playing against a team like 23/24.

I mean hockey has it, and it's a pretty similar sport. Instant replay is mostly limited to goals, which is a natural stoppage of the game anyway. They should be able to check every goal in the 60 seconds or so it takes a team to celebrate, pick the ball out of the net, walk back to midfield and resume play.

Most other sports I watch has some form of instant replay / video referee. Sure, it's not 100% accurate, but do I want to go back to the dark days of the past with no referee accountability? Hell no. The problem with VAR is two-fold - the implementation, and the offside / handball rules themselves. I think it can be fixed, but will take time.

Not sure if it helps, but the game is on ESPN+ over here in the states. Should be plenty of streams available if this isn't on Foxes Hub. removed -
I think they just put his first name in the team sheet (Jobe)

Enzo must have 3 GK's in the squad because Mads is an emergency CM

if there was a league between the Championship and the Premier League, we'd fit perfectly in it.

I know Coady is rusty, but i think he's the big reason we've struggled this half. He gave up the chance to Holmes, and he's been failing to break lines with his passes the way Vesty does.

Always rated Vestergaard

Suspended for yellow card accumulation, no?

Switched off defensively and gave them too much space

This commentator on ESPN has been verbally fellating Liverpool all game.

Vardy, Winks, Ndidi on at half for Nacho, Choudhary and Cassadei if we are serious about winning this thing.

Mortally wounded I'm afraid.

Ndidi would have put that in the top corner

I'm not surprised. Man City heavily rotated last year until it was the final stretch of the season. It is wise for Leicester to use our superior depth as an advantage while the rest of the league tries to trot out the same starting XI for 46 league matches.

Falling out of love with football.

Perhaps a controversial opinion, but I think the game now is better than where it was even ten years ago. I think the problem is that we've all gotten older -
Russia can't use tactical nukes without a NATO response (be it conventional or nuclear). Things are looking up for Ukraine after several months of unsexy work atritting Russian strength, clearing minefields and breaking through the first line of defense. Hopefully in the next month or two we'll see some big holes punched into Russia's well fortified lines of defenses, in which case Ukraine could maneuver and retake large sections of their country back. If they can push to the sea of Azov, retake the land to the west, and cut off Crimea, it would be a pretty successful year for them.
