He has really good movement and makes dangerous runs into attacking areas. But his finishing has been poor, and his defensive skill is lacking.

Kind of agree, though Coady looked much much better against Bournemouth than he had in the past. Doyle is probably being brought in because James Justin was pretty poor against QPR. Doyle's passing range is also an upgrade there, though his one on one marking is a massive downgrade. A bit of a gamble, but honestly, the team could use some new blood and a little competition.

I think it's worth going for. The team is in a rut, and defeating a premier league side would give us a shot in the arm. We have a plenty deep squad, so I think we can afford to rotate and field teams with enough talent to win against Bournemouth & QPR.

It is speculated that the modern helmets have allowed players to play more with their head down, rather than tackling like rugby with your head up. You wouldn't fly into a rugby tackle with your head down, right? But in American Football, the reason you want to tackle with your head down is to place your helmet on the side of the ball carrier, directly on the ball, so that you cause a fumble. On the flipside, the ball carrier will instinctively lower his head before the tackle to reduce his profile and protect the ball. In a sport all about leverage, where the low man wins, you naturally have to lower your head to get lower than your opponent. It's a perfect storm of factors that make this sport ripe for concussions. Research indicates that the repeated minor collisions (that do not cause concussions) will also lead to the development of CTE. By the time a player is 21 years old, and has finished his college career, he has likely taken enough repeated hits to the head to cause CTE symptoms. For some more extreme cases, CTE symptoms can start as early as high school. Mood swings, outbursts of violence, depression, suicide, etc. are all symptoms of sever forms of CTE. It explains why so many NFL players have lived such rough lives after football, and makes their stories all the more tragic.

This is the match that wins us the league. 3-1 to Leicester, KDH Masterclass. I see this being pretty end to end, with Leeds trying to force the issue and Leicester having some success on the counter, especially once we have the lead.

I thought I read that we were obligated to buy him at the end of the season if Leicester gained promotion to the premier league. Either way, when promotion to the premier league is secured, I would think the financial belt would be loosened a notch or two. I think the hyper vigilance comes from borrowing against premier league revenues, while only earning championship level income. Once we are back, we have a ton of contracts coming up and our financial health should be much better.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Detroit Blues replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yeah. It's clear that for this to work we have to do two things: 1) Club has to sort out FFP and get to the point where we can invest in recruitment independent of selling players. It's clear we cannot flip players and bring in a replacement all within the same window. 2) Supporters need to get behind Maresca. Make noise and drown out the proper football fans. There's going to be a lot of struggles next year, since we're likely to be in a relegation battle. Commit to the idea, even when it's not working, and believe that the players/manager will eventually succeed. Otherwise we're going to predictably lose Maresca to a bigger club or sack him mid season because we're struggling and the stadium atmosphere is toxic. -
Are we trying to speedrun getting rid of Maresca? If I were him, I would set the championship points record and bounce the second another job opens in the summer. What is our prospect for success in the Premier League? We're financially hamstrung and run by incompetent people who can't close a transfer deal (in either direction). Our practice facility is either cursed or we have the worst medical/sports science team in the country. Despite that, if you manage to put a good team on the pitch a vocal minority of supporters grumbling will be the only noise in the stadium. He knows the second the results stop coming in, even the silent majority of people who have bought in to Maresca-ball will be complaining and the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was last year.

I feel like I'm not watching the same game as y'all. Daka had a bad miss but released KDH nicely for the goal. 1.3 - 0.2 xG in the first half... pretty dominant. Just need another goal to finish it off.

If you like nature at all, Denver has excellent hiking. Red rocks is definitely worth checking out. We also did a few hikes in the Rocky Mountain National Park. You can actually drive along the tops of a bunch of mountains as well and it is just incredible. If you're interested in sampling any of the local botanicals there's going to be a dispensary on every street corner 😂 Just bring a little cash and tell one of the store workers that you have absolutely no idea what you're doing and they'll help you with the rest.

Yeah, maybe a loan with an obligation for Leicester to buy if promoted (which is almost a given at this point).

Apologies. Sorry, lost my head. I agree with you, we should have killed the game. But it's hard to do that when they can take out your players through on goal. -

Guess you must love this result then. Wrong decision. Wrong result. Hopefully the 2 pts doesn't end up mattering in the end. -

Clear contact, no attempt to win the ball. Would've be a pen if there was VAR.

Hopefully Coady has a good game this go round. I thought he was pretty poor in his last showing. It will be good to get him game time, given how much he's missed due to injury.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Detroit Blues replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Has anyone gotten into HOI4 (hearts of iron)? -
I just picked it up on discount, and have never played any prior game in the series. Any good resources/youtubers/etc? Or can I literally just play the game and pick it up as I go. Thanks!
