I definitely agree - although he's obviously been told to hug the touchline and get forward more under Puel, he always seems to tuck inside when defending, and being the right-hand side of a back three would be perfect for that. Why he's never been played there (favouring Fuchs on the left, instead) I don't know...

Except his crosses from the right (in the air) (when he's played there) have been even worse...

I can't make up my mind - might have to abstain!

Do you remember the other crosses he's done like that - though usually to Mahrez on the back post (and even Slimani, once)? We know he can do it for precisely this reason - he's done it before - the problem is that he hasn't managed to do it often enough. (Too many crosses in the past year have been too shallow and never passed over the defender/s to get to the back post, or wildly overhit...).

TBH, Marc hasn't really crossed like that very much for the past (calendar) year - which is why it's disappointing. Hopefully today's match will help him get his radar fully calibrated again, and we'll see more like that for the rest of the season EDIT: Apparently we managed 50% possession
