If it happens, this smacks of Van Nistelrooy being a 'big' name that the club wants rather than being a good manager. He might be, but has really shown those credentials to date? Think there are better options to explore.
No problem. Thank you for your thoughts. I know you were jesting. Should have responded as such instead. Just a bit difficult.
My home village has been in the news as a coal waste tip has slipped. Some of my friends have been evacuated. Brings back painful memories of Aberfan across the valleys. Luckily all are safe.
My home village is in the news because of the landslip of a coal waste tip. Undoubtedly the valleys have become wetter and flashy and climate change has contributed and is doing so. My friends evacuated from their house, luckily OK. We need to wake up!
I don't know. But the guy has gone. And for me, too many people made things personal about him whatever his failings. Your comment to be fair is not in the vein of others but I think personally we should just let it go and move on.
I think you're right in many respects. Poor timing, as another poster said, and very naive to think it wouldn't get media exposure in this day and age. As you say, whatever, it's time to move on under the new regime.
It might indeed just be an in-joke, that could make sense. As you say, poor timing. But they would be very naive to think images would not go on social media and into mainstream media nowadays.
The fans put up signs about their own boss? Don't think so. We're not talking fans putting up signs about Top or the manager, but the players or a player putting up a sign that relates to his (then) boss in a public place that is shared on social media.
