  1. He needs an experienced head with tactical nous on his coaching team quickly. He looks isolated and a tad clueless. He needs to sort out our defensive organisation. Or a structure. He needs to realise who's good/reasonable and who's substandard. No evidence of that to date. He needs to instil some backbone into them. So not a lot to sort. 🤔 In all seriousness, we can still finish above 3 teams. No reason why not if he gets to work properly.
  2. I genuinely think they might get double figures. Sad.
  3. We beat Southampton at the death under Cooper. I'd argue that was as good as the WHU game. Sadly though whatever as you say, we've lost that now.
  4. A manager's job is to inspire his players. You could argue that Cooper had them fighting better.
  5. Positives to take away? No need to cook and no pots and pans to wash and clean.
  6. Van Nistelrooy is fecking clueless too sadly.
  7. Looking at his selection and subs, I don't think he's capable of realising it.
  8. He was just a big name. I hope we're mostly all wrong but I don't think he's going to become a good manager from what we've seen this far.
  9. At least Cooper seemed to realise how shit this squad was and worked to try to keep us vaguely competitive...
  10. He doesn't give a hoot...
  11. He didn't need to commit footballing suicide today though
  12. Is it a bit tight?
  13. Shit selection too
  14. FFS. How can we all see it and yet a frigging Dutch international not.
  15. That was a Rodgers tactic...
  16. Bring back Coops.
  17. No way - disagree. Footballers of course are much fitter and conditioned than even 20 years ago, but there have been changes in boots, balls, pitches etc too so I'd never make direct comparisons there. In professional rugby union, almost a different sport I'd agree, as players are complete freaks nowadays. Tennis again I'd agree with you with developments rackets, footwear etc. But boxing is two people face to face. Ali, Frazier etc would train and condition for months. Just look at the brutal battles they had, 15 rounds in searing temperatures. Neither Usyk nor Fury has the skill of Ali, or indeed power in the case of say Frazier, Foreman or Tyson, hence my comment. So comparisons are easier with boxing in my opinion than many other sports.
  18. Not in boxing for me.
  19. Great fight. Neither of these guys would however would get close to peak Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson or Lewis.
  20. Right result, it was bit closer than that. I'd 6 3 for Usyk with 3 drawn.
  21. Good day for us. Need to take advantage tomorrow then push on.
  22. Geordies got their 1 already then.
  23. What I say to myself every morning...
  24. So Martin was too adventurous, Cooper too cautious.... Bottom line is both clubs have championship quality squads in reality. Ditto Ipswich. The table doesn't lie. RvN will need to perform a miracle and needs a good January window, which is a real challenge.
  25. Looks like it. Maybe Everton too.
