It works as we saw with Huth and Morgan if you have a defensive midfielder who can wipe out everything in front like Kante did. Morgan I believe actually wasn't that slow though?

Realism hits home sadly with a big bump. Got a core of good players, and I include Soumare in that. But too many below PL standard players.

The pedant in me wants to say they are in our league. And we need to be competing with them.

I hope that RvN is going to sort the defensive shambles ASAP. Ranieri sorted us with Simpson, Fuchs, Huth and Morgan doing their roles impeccably with Kante swatting and sweeping everything away in front of them. Sadly we don't have four comparable defenders or two men to emulate the job that Kante did on his own.

I guess all that positivity sadly is draining as we get overrun yet again.
