  1. Sky just showed the protest pre game. Well done everyone. Good exposure.
  2. Just a day out. We already have a manager for the rest of the season
  3. Any key players missing for them?
  4. Seemed inevitable that there would be intervention against the Iranian regime. Hope the people can have a revolution there.
  5. That’s 30k in the hotels currently. There has been a constant stream over recent years that are now in the community and housed elsewhere
  6. Interested to know more on your thoughts of your definition of nationalism, genuinely. Is it wrong for any country for its people to be proud of their nation and at the same time want their nation to remain that way? As opposed to inviting people in who dislike you - people can pretend all they want that this isn’t the case. We are seeing a wave across Europe of people wanting to protect their countries culture and traditions. Why do the left smear this? I’m sure they wouldn’t if it was an African or Asian country wanting the same. They are also fine with the same nationalism being shown by Pakistanis waving their flag across cities in the UK.
  7. I think you would be right to call it out as extremism tbh. Any person that disagrees with being gay in the name of any religion is absolutely a religious extremist.
  8. Well said. There is only 15 majority Muslim countries in the world where being gay is legal. So are all the other 40 or so radical and extremist? Trumpet is right in their post above.
  9. It’s also strange how the Islamic vote aligned to the left wing party when they don’t even treat women equally. Not exactly very left wing is it? I think people are right to be confused by the alliance.
  10. Careful you’ll be called racist for not being accepting
  11. I’m not sure that’s the case made tbh 😂
  12. The future of the UK. Used and then replaced. So much to look forward to.
  13. At least we are voting in people who are focused on winning support by pandering to a group’s foreign grievances though. It’s in this country’s best interests though of course…
  14. Genuine question for those so accepting of all people outside of controlled migration. How do you think Europe will look in 50 years time? Do you think we are on a better path currently?
  15. You are right to be bemused by a population supporting a demographic that probably disagrees with their lifestyle more than anyone. They’ll take the vote until they don’t need the numbers anymore
  16. You realise most of the people coming in aren’t really asylum seekers? They’re coming for a free ride regardless of how little the amounts are. It’s better than what they have currently. If you turn off the tap then they stop coming - it’s really that simple. Some countries have a hard stance on this and we should do to. If I travel to a country and outstay my welcome - I am rightly removed and I certainly can’t start claiming benefits (regardless of amount) How some are so open to housing people who are here illegally and as a priority over natives is terrifying. If you want to move to any country in the world - do it the right way.
  17. You’ve used national pride and then regarded the England flag as ropey. Bit contradictory. You can’t be ok with one but not the other?
  18. Let me guess, it’s only European countries that are the “tribal” ones? There are a lot of proud nations around the world. Proud of who they are, their history etc… I don’t think open borders would be a strong global move or seen as a positive.
  19. More free housing and healthcare to people who should not be in this country? People who have entered illegally and no requirement to seek work to obtain the benefits? It’s outrageous. This is what they want genuine hard working people to pay for.
  20. There are more to borders than just geographical boundaries. Religion, values, culture, crime are all varying around the world. A world without borders would be lawlessness. You need borders to keep out some aspects of the world you don’t want on your own door step. There is lots wrong with the world but opening up borders would be far from a resolution. Imagine how many more illegal immigrants (current definition) would be flocking to major nations like the UK if it was even easier. You need control.
  21. Large part of the campaign was done with Pakistan flags being displayed throughout Gorton. That’s why I used that country. As I say, I live in Manchester, I go through Gorton daily, I am very close to this and what I saw in the whipping up of support. Thankfully this isn’t the seat I live in.
  22. I think there is plenty in Zack Polanski’s policies to be troubled by. A world without borders? Come on. Statements like that are a threat to our national security and it’s concerning there is a decent number of people in agreement. I could go on.
  23. Have you been to Gorton? She’s not won by representing white working class people so I don’t think anyone would think that. It was the Islamic vote. That was the target and it worked.
  24. I live in Manchester. Troubling times with this result. Seems the Green Party is Pakistan before trees and clean energy these days.
