As a fellow john I accept your apology whole heartedly š
-
Nope - āI donāt completely disagreeā very different
-
Definitely donāt say that anywhere at all pal
-
Yea I think we all want the same thing - Iām probably overly harsh and overly pragmatic- Iād have loved to see these boys come through and shine and your right they are still boys and have time - itās a balance and we all should want them to succeed in a Leicester shirt - nothing better than seeing a lad come through and do it - I agree with you both fully on that and yes Rick probably a bit harsh on alves - I truly hope he shows what he can do and stays injury free and is good enough to contribute next season š
-
Fair comment - I really do hope they proven me wrong and you ate right that they have plenty of time left - so far though it has to be said not one of our managers in last 4 years has given them a single league minute and that tells its own story
-
I know it sounds harsh and I donāt completely disagree with all you say but barnes and Maddison got relegated from the prem not the championship and we know there is a million miles between the 2 pairs of players - I am absolutely šÆ hoping the young lads come through and are good enough from the new crop - would be mad not to want it of course we all do - itās the perfect scenario all round - but it hasnāt even been close to the case for many years - barnes , kdh and chilwell have been the only 3 really in 10 years which tells its own story - fingers crossed Nelson and monga are the next few that take their chance
-
Nope Iām talking about them factually - been the talk of our academy development for years and not one gaffer has given either a game - Alves got relegated last season and braybrooke struggled in Scotland - neither anywhere good enough even in a world where we were as absolute pony as last season
-
Different ways of thinking about things and our current situation and I think probably the 2 sides of the coin our fanbase currently sit on - I agree with some of your points but I guess Iām as much about the now than just the future - if we donāt get the now right and still win then the future becomes a very different story and the idealism you speak of becomes impossible - iv been going since I was 6 years old so 35 years and our success have never really been built on bringing academy lads through - sure we have had some from heskey to chilwell to barnes but Have we ever had more than a couple of academy lads around our successful sides?? Not that I remember- we have done it a slightly different way - Iām all for bringing the lads through if they are good enough and ready but no way just for the sake of it - a team struggling at the bottom of the league with 5 academy lads in it because we are trying to blood them no matter what the results doesnāt work in my mind we have to win whilst bringing the ones that are good enough through to get opportunities- has rohl got any credentials of playing the kids ?? As far Iām aware there is no proof that dyche wouldnāt also get the ones ready involved - iv heard the braybrooke and alves conversation a million times - they simply werenāt good enough and never went on to make it anywhere which is the story of the fact our Academy just quite simply hasnāt been good enough - and if the new guy in charge think some of the ones coming through now are good enough like monga then Iām convinced dyche would give him his chance - and there lies the conundrum- can you still win whilst not cutting off the path of the youth - I see nothing to say rohl would be better at that than dyche
-
Yep it seems Wednesday fans do love him but they are a bigger basket case than us and his success has been completely about them being less crap than they were - I also get the feeling the love in is because they really hate their owners so the manager becomes the opposite and canāt do any wrong I think itās similar to the moyes conversation half way through last year when he was out work and we had no manager - so many on here saying he was a dinosaur and we shouldnāt go anywhere near him and ruud would be a better option - young and upcoming and a better style of play - all of which was complete nonsense - there are big reasons why guys like moyes and dyche have been in the game so long - they are good at what they do - I think moyes is miles better than dyche by the way and the everton uplift probably shows that however we are in the level below now and dyche is without a doubt one of the best managers if not the best manager we could get at that level and he has proven it loads of times - we will have done very well if we get him - if we end up with rohl itās another absolute punt and could easily be another disaster to back up cooper and ruud
-
To a certain extent we as fans are desperate to see an end to what feels like a deep and rotting culture at the club BUT Leicester city is a great job for 90% of managers - maybe not the elite but definitely the rest - points deduction or not we are close to passing through the psr bs after this year and we have a ridiculous squad for the championship - there is still a lot to like about our managers job and I personally want someone who will actually have some balls about them and get done whatās needed but we also need to win - it has to be the number 1 priority- blooding the youth , getting rid of the overpaid chancers , maybe finding investors etc etc can all be done but you still have to win - itās a non negotiable with football nowadays and we need a manager that knows how to get us back out of this absolutely crap league
-
Has Rohl ever won anything with anyone at any level ? Iv only ever heard of him because of the quite frankly weird love in on here - people would rather him take charge of us in the most dire of situations than a guy who has won the championship multiple times and kept Burnley in the prem for something like 7 years with literally peanuts and buttons to spend - bonkers on all accounts- letās get real - with dyche we know for a FACT we will challenge at the top of the division- with rohl itās a complete punt - watch what you wish for

Going nowhere - will be one of the main men this season šÆ -
I am no daka fan but being leicesters second striker for the last 10 years is virtually an impossible task - never getting 2 starts in a row or a proper run of games where the gaffer truly believes you could or should be number 1 - Iām not saying daka has shown anywhere near enough and he has had plenty of games but maybe knowing he is the main man and starting 90% of the games he might just be able to get the magic 20 odd goals at that level - the championship is utter tosh so again he has no excuses whatsoever
-
I hope we see plenty of winks and zero ruud
-
Completely agree with your point but not your starting 11s - the premise however is absolutely bang on - the players we have should batter the championship- the standard is absolutely garbage and a million miles from the prem - we currently still have the potential to field 9 of the 11 that played nearly all year when we won it - and the squad is actually miles better than last time even if the 11 potentially isnāt without kdh and Vardy but bek and daka should be more than good enough - there are no excuses for these guys and whoever comes in as gaffer - they have everything they need to succeed at that level - which let me say again is absolutely rubbish
-
Really - no way - surely not - wilder has been average at best and truly hopeless in prem - Dyche has got to be a better option - has to be

Utter nonsense - not going anywhere- will tear the champ up -
Itās not even laughable anymore - I honestly think we are self sabotaging- I swear to god if you put me and my dad(73 year old life long fan) in charge last summer there is absolutely no way we could have screwed up as badly as we actually have and seem to be continuing to do - someone is completely trolling us up there and seeing what can actually be done if you make as many pathetic decisions as possible - itās just bonkers ridiculous how many things are currently screwed up - for instance - imagine any other side in history being relegated like a million weeks ago with the worst win % whilst it mattered of any manager EVER and still having the same guy in situ in mid June - Southampton who are in a very similar situation but seem to be run a billion times better got rid of their guy literally the same day they went down I say it again me and the old man would easily have gotten more points than ruud and some people seriously are saying letās just keep him - makes me want to be sick in my mouth - making decisions isnāt difficult but we have no leadership- Iām 43 and been going since I was 5 - the old mans been going forever and neither of us have ever felt more disconnected from the club and thatās including during Holloway things can only get better - surely ???
-
Get out - mods
-
Your not on your own - imagine even keeping anyone on the current coaching staff though - laughable
-
Nice one - appreciate that - canāt believe there is no money to just get dyche done - he is the exact right person at the right time for this basket case club - would reset the standards and culture and probably unpopular but I donāt mind watching his teams at all
-
Would be a very good signing- he is decent - every time iv seen him looks good - a million miles better than the 2 clown left backs we have
-
Just to be clear - I meant it was tenuous that the eyes related to dyche that the other poster said - wyms posted it in the manager topic so could have meant just some movement for anyone
-
Donāt care what anyone says - Ings would score goals in the championship- coufal is rock solid as well but got no chance in getting him - Iād take Dawson as well for a year if we can shift coady
