That team - even with daka would win the championship- absolutely no doubt about it - with skipp , monga , mcateer, coady , Nelson , Ayew , Reid as subs - it still absolutely bangs that league - the championship is absolutely terrible - would make Ayew and Reid look like de bruyne and Salah

We absolutely have the players to play that style of football in the championship- I’d argue the horrific effort at 433 by both cooper and ruud this season has been an abomination with zero style at all - none - horrendous football with no tactics we absolutely should be trying to play a brand of possession football - say what you want about Enzo but he just got Chelsea into the champions league playing exactly that way and yes I understand Chelsea have the budget to buy the players to play that style in the top division I don’t get the hate for Martin and his style at all - we seem to be forgetting Enzo got us out of this league in exactly that way martin had 3 less wins than Enzo last year with a Southampton squad way worse than ours and went 20 unbeaten at one point time will tell and I could be wrong obviously but there is every chance he gets us playing some lovely stuff and right up the top of the league next year we need to be really careful what we wish for at this point - experiments with some of the names touted on here with putting youth first could easily see us do a Luton and nobody wants that Martin will blood the young talent we have alongside our experienced players that fit his style - which is most of our squad btw - which we don’t have the money to change on mass I don’t see any miracles in regards to the hierarchy but let’s stop taking this seasons frustrations out on the next manager before he has a chance to show what he can do

I agree with plenty of that - the one bit I’m a bit different on is that I don’t think it’s like cooper at all - Martin has a very specific style like enzos- cooper and ruud have had absolutely no style at all - we have had no clue what we have been doing all year

Same thing - just pure negativity- Martin has done way more than plenty being touted - I’d say he is a relatively safe pair of hands who will have something to prove after failing in the premier league- he isn’t the first and won’t be the last that didn’t quite get it right at that level - if anything I think he comes across pretty well in some of the bigger interviews iv seen and maybe he is a b tech enzo but his record in the champ is decent - we could do a lot worse - only my opinion against all the negativity but I refuse to slate or chant against a guy that isn’t even in the door yet

The amount of hate on here for Martin is beyond belief - this forum has got to new levels of toxicity this year - maybe slightly understandable that everyone is beyond cheesed off after the garbage we have been served up every week but the negativity isn’t healthy - especially for a bloke that hasn’t even managed a minute for us - he is getting the hate of top , rudkin , cooper and ruud combined and he hasn’t even been appointed yet - bonkers

Class act in the championship and we have no idea if how the fall out happened- I’m certainly not backing a gaffer I massively dislike and who is our worst manager in history over a guy that was superb last year and would be again next year - I’m not having him being a bad egg either - not a jot of that in his history - I’d rather have him around than ruud next season 100% we wouldn’t find a better championship midfielder for 15 million - which we don’t have by the way - be criminal to get rid of him and yes I know he isn’t good enough for the prem - but if that’s the standard we are applying for next year then we literally have zero players good enough - none

Nobody is picking up his wages - he will only leave when his contract runs out - on about 80k a week isn’t he - Insane anyway he will be first choice next year as we won’t have proper money to buy a striker - expect him to get 20 goals but still look absolutely pony in that league - we will sign a second choice but he will be the starting forward I reckon if he can’t score 20 at that level starting 90% of games he deserves to never get a contract anywhere ever again

I can hear the first part and yep there could be a player at some point there but this year on that showing he has been honking - to many with one game memories on here - probably same ones who think ruud staying wouldn’t be the worst idea all iv seen week in week out is the odd bit of skill for 10% of the time and a bang average prem player out of his depth giving the ball away time after time after time for 90% of the time I actually don’t dislike the lad but he has done absolutely nothing to show he could cut it week in week out at that level - I hope im proved wrong as he definitely puts a shift in which is minimum for me but plenty don’t so I’ll give him that but big player or star of our season he definitely hasn’t been

Probably unpopular opinion but hey ho - I think he has been absolutely useless- easily as bad as plenty of them and 1 half decent game against the worst prem side ever isn’t going to change my opinion - seems like him and mads probably only sellable assets - can’t see anyone paying that for him but if they did we would sell without a doubt 2 goals and 3 assist all season is absolutely cr*p

Grow up - who gives an actual sh*t about forest - we are crap so makes the whole thing null and void

Plenty of takers at that price - should give us enough cash to be able to sack the absolute fraud of a manager
