  1. Boarded my loft out and fitted a pull down ladder. Loads of storage space now. Also put lighting up there on a push to break switch, so it turns off when the hatch is closed. To maximise headroom I used the silver quilt stuff, which is more expensive but can be stapled between the rafters to create a thermal barrier. The insulation i removed just added to the stuff on the sides. Also put shelving between rafters.
  2. If America keep spending money like a drunk sailor, the world economy will crash anyway. Likely just when I retire.
  3. Once see the size of Marco Rubio's ears, it's hard to see anything else. It's like something off Star Trek.
  4. Macca just need to get used to winning if they have the fastest car. Lando is quickest but prone to mistakes and Piastri has the hallmarks of a journeyman to me. Flexiwing rules could see a shakeup once they are enforced. Which might play into RB's hands. Lewis could really make the difference to Ferrari if he gets his eye in. He knows how to win.
  5. Every season they scrape through. Like a turd that won't flush. When they finally go down it will be forever.
  6. Is Everton the luckiest club in prem history.
  7. We went to that, parking was atrocious. Lights were alright just the weather let it down. I wouldn't go again now I've been, but I think it's great that Leicester are doing stuff like this.
  8. Saved for next meeting. Though working for a multi national, I'm sure no one understands me anyway so I can pretty much say what I like. "Tickle your fanny with a feather" What? I said, "typical English weather" Oh, yeah ok.
  9. That's the ultimate security. Let them get in first, then lock the door.
  10. Became a bit of a hobby when I bought the house. Unfortunately I've known a few too many of the people I want to keep out, so it's not something I'm complacent about. I only use the driveway bollards if we're going on holiday, but the carport bollards are in constant use, because it's a car I hardly use. Even if they took it, it wouldn't get far, it's left on a valet map so won't go over about 20mph and it's tracked. If you've got the keys in a Faraday bag, then your car is secure from relay, so I would look at securing your house so they cant get your keys. I don't think bollards are preventing guys in balaclavas. If someone tried to smash my windows they would still be there in the morning.
  11. They were about £80 or so, but they aren't the best quality. I need to modify them so they are more secure. I also took the locks to a locksmith and got them keyed alike, so all on the same key. My home security is something I take pretty seriously. I'm behind an electric gate too. CCTV window films Garage guardians Pat Lock Sash jammers Security handles Laminated glass Barred windows on garage Security lighting Anti bump snap locks Alarm Faraday bags for keys Locks in the garage Probably more If I go on holiday I take the ECUs out the cars and they go off site.
  12. Got two for my car port and some on the drive
  13. Might be an option in the menu. Both our cars have it, you'll miss it after a while once you're used to it! Get a Faraday bag. I don't know about VW, but Mercedes key turns off after being sat a while. If I leave it in the car it doesn't even know it's still there, so I have to shake it.
  14. You'll be pleased to know it doesn't do an engine much good to warm up on idle. Much better to run it under load at low revs. So whilst he's got it idling cold, take comfort in the fact that hes slowly breaking it. Maybe leave a smug note in his letterbox.
  15. That road looks slippy..
