  1. Could've sworn I heard it at one point
  2. Yanited fans still haven't gotten over the penalties he won in the 5-3 edit: might as well post the extended highlights to relive that match too
  3. Norwich have sacked Johannes Hoff Thorup Anyone who follows them more closely than I do who can weigh in on him? They started really well but fell off dramatically. Tried to play good football, but fundamentally it was attempting good football with players not good enough for it, and he hasn't been able to adapt to the squad he has? He's still very young at 36 y/o too, I wouldn't be surprised if another Championship team took him on, or maybe the 2. Bundesliga.
  4. Percy's article in the Telegraph
  5. When his wife is posting pictures like this on matchdays he's clearly been told by Ruud to stay away
  6. I don't know much about his Rochdale stint tbh, only that he had among the lowest market value teams in the league (i.e. shite players) for both of his seasons there Historically they've bounced between League 1/third division and League 2/fourth division a lot and they've since been relegated to the Vanarama so it doesn't seem to me like he was underperforming Either way, if Ruud walks/is sacked then BBM's the most realistic internal candidate for the rest of the season
  7. Brian Barry-Murphy til the end of the season
  8. HoustonFox's link is the right one if you haven't seen it yet
  9. 😂😂😂
  10. Luis Castro from USL Dunkerque in Ligue 2 Ligue 1 is about to enter a financial crisis again because the broadcaster DAZN and the league are engaged in a legal battle over contractual breaches/missed payments and the league voted to terminate the broadcasting contract – no other broadcaster is going to offer nearly as much money, and basically everyone except PSG is going to be fuched without any broadcasting income. So that means poaching a manager from France might become very easy. https://www.lequipe.fr/Medias/Actualites/Le-college-de-ligue-1-opte-pour-une-rupture-avec-dazn-en-fin-de-saison/1554542
  11. Marinakis has close ties with Jorge Mendes, it wouldn't be hugely surprising if he channeled a lot of agent fees through Olympiacos or just straight under the table rather than reporting them all. It's a shame that the FIFA proposal to have players pay their own agent fees/comissions rather than the club paying them got rejected.
  12. Harvey has always been a streaky player though, he goes on runs of excellent form and follows it up with 5 or 6 games where he's anonymous. With Anthony Gordon being injured, Barnes has come back into the fold and gotten good returns. Three goals and two assists in the last 4 PL games, I've read plenty of Toon fans saying he's made a claim to still be starting when Gordon returns edit: for context Harvey has 8 goals and 3 assists in only 1167 league minutes, Gordon has 6 goals and 6 assists in 2136 minutes (almost twice as many)
  13. goal and an assist for Ayoze against Betis, the first match Betis have lost in over 2 months
  14. gonna take a guess and say he'll leave Chelsea by mutual consent after the final game and then be announced as Sevilla's new manager 24 hours later
  15. Said he doesn't want to manage another English club
  16. At least the shop being down won't have negatively affected the sales of the patchwork "Northern Wild" £120 jacket or the £200 "King Power VarCity" bomber jacket, or the "Never Fear Born to Win" jersey eh lads
  17. Saw on facebook someone said it's ransomware? No idea if that's true but I wouldn't be surprised 😆
  18. Exactly, I wouldn't be surprised if they were there at other "glamour tie" away games in the past, and they're given a stadium tour as well!
  19. I wasn't defending their behaviour just to be clear, was trying to say it's a club-driven initiative to accomodate them, and with the club's active disinterest in the actual match-going fans, that I don't think that raising a formal complaint would get anywhere because their "commercial interests" take priority. I can remember the Calgary group being there on at least two occasions before the pandemic at away games too - Old Trafford was one and I think Anfield another.
  20. Not tourists, the club has a partnership with Calgary Blizzard. We send coaches over to run a football camp in Calgary every summer and invited some of their team over for a game, they've come over for games multiple times in the past https://www.facebook.com/CalgaryBlizzardSoccerClub/photos/leicester-camp-is-back-this-summer-anyone-who-has-attended-previously-knows-this/1168149978646460 https://facebook.com/CalgaryBlizzardSoccerClub/photos/a.3537111119734738/4245215265590983/ In fact the partnership was how we scouted our former youth GK Chituru Odunze who now plays for Charlotte FC
  21. Luis Castro, manager at USL Dunkerque (Ligue 2). Previously managed Benfica B He had them winning 2-0 against PSG on Tuesday night in the French Cup semi-finals until PSG scored from a wrongly-given corner and equalised by a deflected long-range shot, then predictably Paris's mega millions won out in the second half. But they were playing bloody good defensively and their counter-attacks, and control of possession in the limited amount of time they did have the ball, were excellent. If luck had gone Dunkerque's way a bit more then they might have even been winning 3-0 or 4-1 as they had some other high quality chances that were missed. In the first half they nullified PSG's strengths beautifully, you wouldn't have thought you were watching Ligue 2 players, more like an upper mid table top flight side. They beat Lille and Brest in the earlier cup rounds too so he clearly knows how to play against top teams. But of course, Rudkin hasn't heard of him, and even if he had, Castro hasn't managed in the Premier League so we'd never go for him
  22. Clothing collection designed with Herbert Grönemeyer whose song is Bochum's anthem, and to reflect the region's industrial heritage Quite cool, part of the proceeds will go to supporting youth social programs in the city. I'm tempted to buy one of the shirts but I fear for my wallet if the prices are like the ones from 1860 Munich's collection from the same brand 😆
  23. "KPFC: rotten from top to bottom" would fit on the banner as a compromise tbf Fair fuchs to ozvaldo for organising it either way though
