  1. if New York Red Bulls aren't trying to sign him they're missing the opportunity of a lifetime
  2. Refused to let UFS do a tifo today but the club were more than happy to put the "Leicester's Greatest" tifo as one of the closing shots to their Vardy tribute montage
  3. Francesco Farioli seems to be leaving Ajax because their board constantly broke promises to sign players and replace Bergwijn and Forbs. The club hasn't extended the contracts of Klaasen or Pasveer yet either, and are in negotiations to re-sign Dusan Tadic who Farioli doesn't want. I think Ajax had the third-best squad in the division but he got them challenging for the league (and at one point were 9 points clear in first, but they fell off and finished second by one point. In fact they were 9 points behind PSV early in the season too.). I rated what he did at Nice really highly last season too. Think he'd probably go to another top flight club in Italy or France but I'd like him here. https://www.ajaxdaily.com/2025/the-tactical-evolution-of-ajax-amsterdam-under-francesco-farioli/ https://the-footballanalyst.com/francesco-farioli-ajax-tactical-analysis/ https://the-footballanalyst.com/francesco-farioli-ogc-nice-tactical-analysis/
  4. I've said his name before but Luis Castro at USL Dunkerque in Ligue 2 is another - finished 4th in the league and will be in the playoff final tomorrow against Metz for the promotion place put up a great fight against PSG in the cup the other month, and he's formerly Benfica B's manager so knows a thing or two about youth development https://portugoal.net/portuguese-abroad/3777-luis-castro-the-coach-who-conquered-youth-football-with-benfica-now-impressing-in-france
  5. it's absolutely going to have a big fuching banner of this
  6. Selles not at the level of Rosenior of course, but going just by payroll is vastly oversimplifying things – the quality of Hull's squad is bottom half, the likes of Belloumi, Millar, Hughes, Barry, Gelhardt, Palmer, Coyle, Alzate, Matazo who are among their most valuable players were injured for a good chunk of the season, and he had basically no input on recruitment because the owner thinks he's a savant and keeps interfering. Watford's form dropped off in the second half of the year but Cleverley also had a very middling squad and an injury crisis up front.
  7. Tom Cleverley sacked by Watford (usual Pozzo behaviour) and Ruben Selles about to be sacked by Hull too (Acun is also extremely trigger happy) Not my first choices but they both overperformed with shit squads and would be vastly preferably choices to keeping Ruud on
  8. But then weirdly he was pretty good at penalty shootouts! I think I read that he does/did a lot of pre-match training analysis on other team's takers, which is something Schmeichel didn't believe in doing.
  9. I wasn't too impressed with his Hamburg side. At Genk he fell short of expectations and lost more games than he won. Did an okay job at Leverkusen as caretaker at the end of the 20/21 season. Not really someone I think would be a good appointment, he's much more suited to his current roles with the German NTs.
  10. A less forgiving ref (or perhaps if the original ref stayed on), or if he'd have made one more foul he would've gotten a second yellow. A clumsy player.
  11. Rudkin Out and Sack The Board chants very audible on TV and "Top, Rudkin, what's so funny?" shown in the 14th minute
  12. Could've sworn I heard it at one point
  13. Yanited fans still haven't gotten over the penalties he won in the 5-3 edit: might as well post the extended highlights to relive that match too
  14. Norwich have sacked Johannes Hoff Thorup Anyone who follows them more closely than I do who can weigh in on him? They started really well but fell off dramatically. Tried to play good football, but fundamentally it was attempting good football with players not good enough for it, and he hasn't been able to adapt to the squad he has? He's still very young at 36 y/o too, I wouldn't be surprised if another Championship team took him on, or maybe the 2. Bundesliga.
  15. Percy's article in the Telegraph
  16. When his wife is posting pictures like this on matchdays he's clearly been told by Ruud to stay away
  17. I don't know much about his Rochdale stint tbh, only that he had among the lowest market value teams in the league (i.e. shite players) for both of his seasons there Historically they've bounced between League 1/third division and League 2/fourth division a lot and they've since been relegated to the Vanarama so it doesn't seem to me like he was underperforming Either way, if Ruud walks/is sacked then BBM's the most realistic internal candidate for the rest of the season
  18. Brian Barry-Murphy til the end of the season
  19. HoustonFox's link is the right one if you haven't seen it yet
