I am just about to switch energy suppliers(long overdue). We have not got a smart meter and we just can't decide whether we should get one. Any strong opinions for and against would be welcome!

The fact that we are 2nd and are quite frankly a distinctly average team says it all. Man City have lost 9 games already this season and yet will still probably qualify for the champions league. There are alot of good footballers around, but how many world class players. I can only put Mo Salah in that bracket and this is supposed to be the best league in the world. It mirrors the international scene and the drop off for me has been immense in the last decade or so. Overcoaching, too many matches, obscene wages for very average footballers, don’t know what the reasons are, but I honestly think supporters are being short changed at the moment.

Have to agree, yes we needed to know her backstory and it was a big reveal right at the end. However, it was a hell of a tedious journey getting there.

However, Zelensky is explaining to tweedledum and tweedledee the origins of Putin’s aggression in Ukraine, so the invasion of Crimea in 2014 and Putin’s breaking of agreements. Trump’s contribution is to interject and say that it was 2015 and upon being corrected just shrugs and says “ I was not around then”. When Zelensky mentions dealing with Obama and Biden the mood changes and Vance goes into his disrespect bs. People saying on here that Putin respects the USA, I am sure he is just laughing at how they have re-elected two utter imbeciles into high office.

‘Realistic attitude’ is that your euphemism for taking the Trump deal, with no security for the country? That would just be a temporary ceasefire for Putin to March back in. I am always surprised that people think appeasement is viable policy, when history has shown otherwise. The only thing I can agree with Trump is that Europe does need to be more responsible for its defence. Not sure how Russia could actually take on a Europe, that includes countries on its border like Poland who have the third largest military in NATO. This is a Russia, who have had to go begging to North Korea to use North Korean troops on the Ukraine front line, as they have lost so many of their own forces.

So he ended up spending 3 nights in prison for a sustained attack on someone already on the ground and then told police a pack of lies to try and blame the victim. EON next, what is it with these energy companies. We are in arrears with our account, but have a plan in place to pay them off by the end of March. I had a long chat with their customer services on Friday and received an email to confirm the conversation on the same day. Yesterday I got a call from EON asking to speak about the account, as I was slightly suspicious I asked them to send an email. The email appeared to be legit so I rang them this morning. They wanted to know when I was next intending to make a payment and I said this was discussed on Friday. They then wanted to know other details, which were also dealt with on Friday. I told them this and they got quite defensive. I decided to end the call quickly and rang their complaints dept, because this started to feel like harassment. The lady purporting to work in complaints told me that an automated system makes the call (because the account is in arrears) and the customer services person then picks up the call, once the caller has passed security. The customer services person has therefore no idea about why the call as been made and doesn't seem to read the notes. I said that was ridiculous and advised her that once we have cleared the arrears will be looking for another supplier. I have now just received two texts from them starting with the line “Great to chat!” . No it f**king was not!!

Love it, wonder what the name of his local boozer was called and whether or not he had a wheeler dealer older brother, or an uncle that was in the merchant navy. 🤣
