  1. Some superb football from Bournemouth in that half. Good value for that lead.
  2. Stephen Hawking Lego
  3. Don’t remember these as much as the milk cartons, but it was a long time ago!
  4. Every eight years or so. 😀
  5. Bums. What a crappy goal.
  6. Is this one of the most dismal performances by a premier league side against non league opposition? I can’t remember a worst one off top of my head.
  7. Free scoring Spurs struggling against part-time Tamworth. How very embarrassing. 🤣
  8. Matt Elliott once won me 20 quid in a short lived office fantasy league. . He scored in a mid week game in season 1999/2000 and I shall be forever grateful. 20 quid was not to be sneezed at back then. 😂
  9. So assume Tielemans would make your list?
  10. I was thinking the other day about this, because Legend is a term banded about quite easily these days. I have heard Three O Walcott being described as such recently and I would certainly not consider him an Arsenal legend, but probably some misguided supporters would. I have been lucky in that I have seen in the flesh proper Arsenal legends, such as Tony Adams and Thierry Henry. However, people’s opinions on what constitutes a club legend seem to vary greatly. I would define it as longevity and honours, or in the case of a striker their goalscoring record. Perhaps players that have had to carry weak teams on their mighty shoulders. But not all players with apperances and medals would necessarily qualify. Interested to know outside of Vardy who Leicester fans would consider worthy of that accolade. I am assuming Kasper Schmeichel and Wes Morgan would be considered as club legends. Would you include Kante and Mahrez in that? From older teams, obviously you had a lot of success under Martin O’Neill, so would lynchpins Matt Elliott and Muzzy Izzet qualify? Would Heskey also? I am old enough to remember the 70’ s and quality players like Keith Weller and Frank Worthington. Would they be considered as legends? I guess it is subjective up to a point, so it probably should not annoy me as much as it does when I think that label has been misused!
  11. Sitting in the car with the wife outside our house, waiting for the gas people to arrive. We were awoken at 5:00am by our CO alarm, opened our windows and called the emergency number. We were told it should be within 2 hrs, just went back in the house for a pee and temperature in downstairs bedroom is 4 degrees. Guy has just turned up!
  12. I think they underplayed the glamour side. It was mainly four or five guys sitting in the back office of a strip club. There were some great characters, but all of them were repulsive in their own way, even ‘innocent family members’. The ending of course was a little controversial! I actually preferred The Wire.
  13. We peaked last season. The most recent signings made by Areteta including the loan deal for busted flush Sterling were not what we needed. Everyone apart from Areteta could see that we lacked a striker. Jesus and Havertz are just poor imitations of one. The ‘tricky ball’ quote is just pathetic and embarrassing. We will win nothing further with him in charge, of that I am certain.
  14. I don't have an issue with any of the players chosen, just think they need to increase the pool. Eight players for me are not enough to sustain excitement for a 17 week format.
  15. I am hoping they may increase the number of players competing in the PL at some point. Much as I love darts, when I see the same two players playing each other for what seems like the 1000th time it gets a bit stale.
  16. Liverpool were awesome in the pre Covid season also, when they racked up 97 points and only lost the one game to Man City and still finished runners up. That defeat didn't arrive until January and I was getting genuinely concerned they would remain unbeaten. This Liverpool team are nowhere near as good thankfully.
  17. That Spurs line-up. Honestly. 🫣
  18. Tbh, him waking up in a cold sweat every morning, not knowing when the next attack is coming would be some kind of poetic justice in itself. After all that’s what his poor daughter had to endure at his hands, during her short life.
  19. I think most prisoners have access to newspapers and some have TVs. Internet access is supposed to be strictly controlled.
  20. Well that didn't take long. Shame!
  21. Two semi final damp squibs, hope the final is a close one.
  22. I feel so much better now.
