  1. The bath plug.
  2. They were shocking, we beat them 11-2 on aggregate and Adebayor of all people got a double hat-trick!,
  3. A little bit like Rooney when he was he 16, maybe minus the beard,!
  4. Yes, I will be in the situ as you in a couple of months. Hopefully you get most of yours back and can challenge any piss-taking. We have already been asked to fill in any holes in the wall caused by hanging pictures, even though they know we have never hung pictures.
  5. He was the star of The Driver, a great 70’s thriller with Bruce Dern.
  6. Yeah, I think foxesdeb has summed it up very well. Appreciate the empathy though.
  7. My partner and I just got served with a sec 21, after living in the property for 7 years. Fortunately we knew it was coming and have some funds to find somewhere else decent. Sadly a lot of people won’t necessarily be able to do the same. Governments generally don’t give a toss about renters. I suppose a fair few MPs are landlords themselves.
  8. Yes awful stuff, as of yet I know nothing of these kids’ backgrounds. However, thinking back to the Bulger case Venables had a relatively ‘ normal upbringing’ and Thompson’s was horrendously abusive. Yet Thompson has apparently stayed out of trouble, while Venables has been in and out prison. Brianna’s killers may have had difficult childhoods, or they may just be inherently evil. It will be interesting to know what motivated them to act as they did, as the trial progresses.
  9. Just started ‘Lawman Bass Reeves’ on Paramount plus with David Oyelowo and Dennis Quaid. Two episodes in it and it looks impressive.
  10. Yes I think that was it, I remember the main brothel was in leafy Cheltenham. As a crime investigation documentary the current one on the beeb ‘ The Met’ is well made. The nonsensical motives that laid behind the Brixton stabbing shown last week, illustrate just how dangerous some parts of this country are. Have you been watching it.
  11. ‘Diplomatic immunity officer’ whenever I think of Joss Ackland. As you say fine actor.
  12. Getting my channels mixed up. The one I was thinking about was on Channel 4-Taken: Hunting the sex traffickers.
  13. The ending was a real gut punch. They basically murdered him. Incredibly brave lad having to go through that twice.
  14. Watched one last year on sex trafficking.
  15. Absolute morons, completely incoherent. If they had been American, they would have stormed the Capitol for Trump on Jan 6th.
  16. Two good goals. Well done Wolves.
  17. Some of the worse set-pieces I’ve seen this season. Do Wolves practise them do you think? Happy for this to age badly!
  18. Yes and I am not even going to pretend I wasn't serious! In my own defence it was pretty early this morning. 😂
  19. I would like to go back to an old style Nokia, so just good for calls/texts. Pathetic to say but I am addicted to the apps, everything from checking my fantasy score to the new tastecard. I don't think I can do without it now, as some apps are essential like the live national rail app(I commute 3 times a week).
  20. Honestly is this some sort of joke? Does the VAR guy even watch the game in real time, or is he one of those security men you see in TV comedy/dramas that glance at the monitors every once in a while and miss the 'break in'. Hard to believe they have 89 camera angles and still can't see if a ball went out of play!
  21. Sorry, but that's just nonsense. Extreme language, ref strikes, I don't think so. Most managers, just like most fans don't have a lot of confidence in how VAR is being used/managed. There are too many mistakes and it's sucking the enjoyment out of football.
  22. Think I have changed my mind on this decision. Just saw this posted on an Arsenal website. Looks fairly conclusive . Yet they did not have the camera angles to show the pictures on Sky TV! I can well understand why managers get pissed off.
  23. He should have spoken about the Guimaraes forearm smash, rather than the goal, which was probably right to stand. How VAR did not view that as a sending off offence was the real issue for me.
  24. Richard Roundtree the original John Shaft, great iconic film and score.
