I note that he never appointed any black men or women to any senior position within his previous administration, or has any such demographic within his current campaign team. I think it's fair to say the VP role is largely ceremonial and she thinks differently from Biden on some policy matters, for example on the middle east horror show. Biden has been pathetic in his dealings with Israel, so like to believe she would be more robust. Tried to brush it off as "sometimes I'm a knucklehead". Why are you running for office then? I think Walz was chosen to appeal to average middle America and he has had some missteps for sure, but compared to JD Vance he is a decent enough choice. I don't think Harris/Walz are fantastic, but the alternative is bloody awful.

I do read a fair amount of comment (probably too much) on youtube, particularly on Fox News items. Misogyny imo is very much a significant factor in this election. Harris gets frequently called ‘Heels up Harris’ as a slur on her relationship with Willie Brown and ‘cackling Kamala’ as a criticism of her laughter. If that was a male candidate, do you think he would attract those same sort of comments? I doubt it somehow.

Biden and his administration have been totally ineffective throughout this entire disaster.

Sad indictment of the US, where not voting for a female candidate based on her gender, is a more motivating factor for some than not voting for the other candidate, despite the constant racist hate speech practised by that candidate. I see he has now turned his demonic ire on Venezuelan gangs in Colorado, claiming Aurora is a war zone, which even it’s Republican mayor denies.

How very curious. Living on a deserted island, or in a remote wood cabin might excempt you from such influences, otherwise we all have to trust our own instincts.

I just don't think the polls in the US are particularly accurate and I note the BBC( averages used by part of ABC) still has Harris just ahead in four of those swing states, with Trump marginally ahead in the other three.

Made me laugh after that first assassination attempt, when the press wondered if Trump would soften his hate rhetoric. It lasted until halfway through his first subsequent speech( the Republican conference) and he then went back into attack mode. Like he is capable of change.
