Martin Tyler given the ‘main match’ says everything about the rest of the commentators. The accents and overhyped comments of Neville and Carragher really grate. Tyler and JC seem always to have the same inability to string more than five or six words together without a hesitant pause.

Perhaps he could come to us

Opposition defenders must be delighted when they see Perez on our team sheet. He’s so lightweight. And the number of times the ball gets stuck under his feet as he pirouettes three times!
-
Albrighton for Perez asap

And again!

Kane had to score there!

I think the scouting team turned up an absolute diamond here. They can’t possibly have imagined the progress he would make in the short time he’s been with us. Full of admiration for him, the level of his performance of course, but also his humility and the fact that he seems totally unaffected by what he and the rest of team are achieving. He’s an absolute credit to himself as well as the club. What an asset to have such a versatile player. Really hope he’s with us for many years to come.

Didn’t watch Fulham WHU game but sounds like Mike Dean has done it again! How much longer is this going to be allowed to go on. 😡 So glad he can’t be doing our game against Wolves tomorrow!

Game on!

Equaliser definitely looking more likely.

So there we have it! Southampton’s Jan Bednarek’s red card has been rescinded. The judgement of the independent regulatory commission was that this was a wrong decision and the commission has quite rightly in my opinion upheld Southampton‘s appeal. But I feel that this still leaves a lot of unanswered questions. How on earth did the referee, and indeed the video assistant referee, arrive at the decision to send him off in the first place? The mistake was bad enough in real time, but when the referee then watches reruns of the incident on the touchline monitor and sticks by his decision to award a penalty and send off the Southampton player then ridiculous descends into farcical. Honest mistake? Arrogance? Incompetence? Intransigence? Corruption? Bias? Favouritism? Whilst I’m sure we can discount several of these thoughts how can there possibly have been any mistake when using the video evidence that we all saw clearly on our screens. this from an experienced referee reportedly paid £200,000 a year plus a £1500 fee per game? As always, information to supporters is both limited and given in very bland and broad terms. Are we just moving on from these mistakes with no action regarding the referee and video assistant in question? At the end of the season I hope that we don’t lose out on goal difference by one goal to MU! One report suggests that Manchester United’s Martial was saying it wasn’t a foul even as Bednarek left the field which of course begs another question. In that case how come Martial fell over in the way he did or even why did he fall over at all? Perhaps therein lies the fundamental problem. If players play honestly it doesn’t put the referee in a position to make these mistakes. The referee for our game against Fulham, Robert Jones, I thought had a decent enough game, but perhaps that was in part down to the two teams involved actually playing the game in decent spirit without too much playacting. José Mourinho complains that the referee got it wrong when awarding a penalty to Chelsea last night. I wonder if he instructs his own players to play in a way that helps the referee? In my post at the start of this thread I spoke of some of the reasons for my disillusionment with football just now. Despite the rescinded red card I have to say that I’m not any less frustrated or disillusioned. COYF 🦊

Absolutely agree about best refereeing this season, and for a long time prior to that too, Stéphanie Frappart from France. Absolutely excellent in the Europa fixture, let the game flow and not influenced by any play acting. Vive La France 🇫🇷

I can’t ever remember being so disillusioned with football as I feel just now. Having followed the Foxes ever since the Matt Gillies era, I’ve become more than used to the ebb and flow of the highs and lows we all experience as supporters. However, I can’t think of a time when the administration of the game has seemed so inept, so inept that we have to have updates, adjustments and clarification of events and the interpretation of the laws of the game as we go along. I was fully in favour of the introduction of VAR, but it’s quite obvious that the full implications of it were never fully realised by the powers that be, nor the method trialled properly. We have lines drawn on our screens that take minutes to differentiate and are supposed to show offside. Not once have I seen any reference to the chosen freeze frame being synchronised with the pass that created the movement in question. I don’t believe that the exact time of the ball leaving a player’s foot can be measured so accurately that it can be linked to millimetres difference in the positions of two players within the context of a game. The offside law and its interpretation have to be changed. When will referees start to give fouls without a player having to collapse writhing to the floor. Last night’s games saw one player ‘win’ a penalty having been touched by a force that wouldn’t have floored my two year old grandson. Another player struggling (dare I say manfully?) and managing to stay on his feet under a far heavier challenge got nothing. The referees have encouraged diving with their ineptitude and inconsistencies and don’t seem able to interpret players’ actions and intentions even when able to have another look on a pitch side monitor. Which now brings me to the actions of players. One player ‘wins’ a penalty. Another is sent off whilst appearing to try to avoid contact with the aforementioned player. I fully appreciate that intent does not come into judging whether a foul is committed but how some players can look themselves in the mirror is beyond me. Some must have no self respect. Players constantly appealing for the throw-in every time it goes out irrespective of whom it last touched is another irritation. The so called professional foul, taking one for the team should surely merit more than a yellow card if a likely counterattack is stopped in its tracks. Last night’s games left me frustrated that once again the ex-professionals, the pundits, were all saying similar things to what lots are saying so many times on this forum and I’m sure on others too, and nothing changes.

VAR is an absolute joke. Sucking the life out of the game. Along with playing on when a move is clearly offside. How has football come to this. Rubbish.

Wish Fletcher would just shut up! And then Savage pipes up!

Their last win (I think) November 30th Foxes 1 Fulham 2

This was the day he HAD to turn up, turn it on, and make us a realistic challenger.....just like he described very eloquently in his last interview. However, the longtime lack of consistency turned up instead. He HAS to learn to deal with pressure at the top. At the moment he can’t.
-
No. No. He shouldn’t be anywhere near free kicks or corners unless it’s a free kick just outside the area.
-
Why is Maddison taking all our set pieces. Abysmal doesn’t even begin to describe the poor return from his free kicks and corners. The only ones he should be anywhere near are the free kicks about 5 yds outside the area.
-
No vardy.....no chance. Poor poor poor today. Perez lightweight. No consistency from Maddison.

Reality returns. Perez lightweight. No Vardy...no chance. Needs sorting. -
The life and spirit of football is being sucked out by outrageous, idiotic and senseless decisions. There are times when I think what’s the point watching any more?
