  1. Foxes to win 2-0....Perez and Ricardo!
  2. Marc Albrighton was excellent playing centrally last week when he came on against whu. Find it hard to see Perez as a better option.
  3. THIS They can all leave the club now as far as I care. Don’t want to see any of them in the team ever again. They have a f...ing party with their mates every day of the week in training when most others are isolated, lonely, struggling. Disgusted.
  4. If grealish moves on this summer, Villa could well be stuffed. Classic example of one man team!
  5. I went to this game. Unbelievable having multiple players from Leicester. And a goal from Frank. Seem to remember the referee was Argentine! A few dodgy decisions and from 2-0 it was 2-2!
  6. I remember when Joe Mercer was questioned on his selections he said Weller plays like a Brazilian.
  7. Like everyone else chipping in here with memories and clips from bygone days, I’ve spent more than a few quiet moments thinking back to the Jimmy Bloomfield era, the part that Frank played in that time, and the amazing talent we were privileged to watch. One of my all time favourite games was a Tuesday night game away at Birmingham, 20th August, 1974. We were in our seats by the players’ tunnel early enough to see the lads wander out in their civvies for a look around. The gasp of amazement from my friend Mick as Wortho walked out in black flares and I think a black tank top with a big round picture of Elvis on the front attracted the great man’s attention and for a few seconds he looked at us, I think to make sure we weren’t taking the ****. The game finished 4-3 to us with the most exhilarating exhibition of football I can ever remember. Rofe, Weller and two from Frank. What a performance. The story as I remember it was that JB had watched and marvelled at some of the incredible football played by the Dutch in that summer’s World Cup tournament, unlucky to lose out to West Germany in the final. He decided to set Leicester up in similar formation, looking for fast, free flowing football, which he certainly achieved in that game, with a sort of pyramid formation. However the formation didn’t last, but the renown and standing of all those players from the Bloomfield era and especially Frank Worthington, certainly did. Rest in peace Big Frank
  8. I’m so happy that ManU funded our move up to the “next level” when they signed Big Harry, released Soyunçu and enabled us to sign our Belgian wizards. I LOVE IT! COYF
  9. That’s me finished for the day 😥
  10. Seventy years old. Lifelong supporter. Was as excited before the game tonight as I was at my first ever visit to Filbert Street, 23rd March 1963 2-2 draw against Spurs. Watched the game tonight - without the sound after about 10 minutes because I was worried for my health and sanity. (Most commentators wind me up.) I enjoyed the rest of the game! (Steered clear of FT!) Was desperate for Hamza to do well after his mistake. Kasper kept us in it. We were a threat throughout (almost). We could have won it. Little Wes looked fantastic when he came on. Amazing strike from Kelechi. Could not ask more from these boys. Get behind ALL of our players. Next up Brighton COYF
  11. Arsenal are an embarrassment!
  12. Absolute farce. How some referees continue to get games is a joke. The standard of refereeing has to be at an all time low.
  13. Mike Whitlow had a mention yet? He was another who never shirked a tackle, and never complained.
  14. Cracker! Come on Geordies
  15. My wife, who’s a good judge of such matters says that Maguire runs as though he’s wearing a soggy nappy!
  16. Can’t believe how many semi-negative or semi-critical comments on here. There are always if, buts and maybes. Brendan played the players he felt would do the job facing us. Whatever we think about taking one game at a time, he also needed to be thinking about the game next Thursday, and how best to have players ready for that game. We got the three points. Let’s enjoy the moment, congratulate all concerned and start to look forward to Slavia Prague.......and then Arsenal.
  17. Lamela tackle borderline red for me.
  18. I’ve never heard Brendan critical of a referees performance before. Says it all. Conned by an embarrassing spineless bunch of cheats. The state of the game!
  19. Really hope that Brendan is going to play this game for the lads to watch a few times this week and plan accordingly. And please....no Perez!
  20. Liverpool v Manchester City Again we see the state of the modern game. Salah goes down like a miniature windmill after his arm was touched and his legs stopped working! Why is Michael Oliver giving a penalty? Weak refereeing yet again. Abysmal.
  21. Embarrassed for salah. And yet again we see weak refereeing. Conned? Not really. It's just the degenerative state of modern football.
