And yet it's why we're being embarrassed by clubs like Brighton and Brentford. Find it "boring" if you want, but its value is proven
-
The Man City run has been awful, but bizarrely looks a mental thing more than anything else: they normally walk away with victories against Utd and Everton from how the games were going. I think the way we set up for Liverpool will be the way to go, hopefully with Vardy back to cause their defence some issues.
-
He's just not at this level. Particularly with the English game being more physical, the guy is just way too weak, gets muscled out of things far too easily. If we get an offer than doesn't hurt PSR then we should take it.
-
It just doesn't play out like this though. We'll pick up some points from your L pile: Ipswich drew away at Brighton and beat Spurs away, Southampton also picked up a point against Brighton. I think all of the D chances here are W chances.
-
You're ignoring the reason Arsenal had so many chances and shots against us though: because we'd got it back to 2-2. They didn't need to keep banging down the door tonight because they were coasting in a busy fixture period with injuries. They needed to throw the kitchen sink at us because the game was level late on.

Southampton, Ipswich, Wolves, Palace, Everton, Brentford all good opportunities. West Ham, Man U, Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth, all have potential. Might as well add Man City X2 at the moment too.
-
We've got Ipswich, Southampton, and Wolves all towards the back end of the season. Goal until then is to stay in the fight. While we aren't cut adrift, there is always hope.

Unlike there weekend I think there were some positives to take from today. Onwards. -
Why do we always find a way to turn our free kicks and throw ins into opportunities for the opponents?

Daka is not a Prem player 😂
-
May well go on to lose but this is much much more encouraging.
-
No idea. And recent January windows haven't convinced me we'll find the solutions anyway. But got to roll the dice I think.
-
Only positive is that it will be clear as day that money needs to be spent in Jan for us to have any chance of staying up. A decent window could give us a shot.

The first half was a shit show and meant the game was probably done, but I'm disappointed there's wasn't some sort of early barrage or attack from us early second half. Get into them and see what happens. Who knows, they've been fragile, get it back to 1-3 and see if they start to worry. We gave them a very easy afternoon. -
Having watched way too much of Danny Ward, I think if I was shooting against him I'd probably aim AT him. He seems to actively find a way of not getting in the way of the ball. It's bizarre.
-
If it's Ward I might triple captain Salah.
-
Very good chance this is the middle of 5 losses in a row too, with probably a lot of goals conceded. January is huge in terms of our season prospects, both from a transfer point of view and some slightly kinder fixtures.
-
I don't think booing him could make him any worse to be honest.
-
Hopefully Slot realises he could beat us with the second string and gives a lot of these the game off.
-
Genuinely might as well put an outfield player in goal.
-
And some were suggesting this was a mid table squad.
-
I get the frustration but chucking people in who aren't ready to start would have been worse. We need those people to get back to 100% asap, and part of that process is them being eased back in sensibly.
-
Man city have lost more games in their last 12, than they did in the 106 games before that. This is a crazy dropoff.
-
I know the manager change adds a little bit more hope for Wolves, but this is probably the best fixture you can ask for at the moment. They've been shipping goals for fun and have been losing their heads. Time for us to step up and get another 3 points on the board.
-
I get that it would be difficult to construct this in any other way, but the impact on the team will obviously depend on how likely that player would have been to start if fully fit. Man City have probably seen the biggest impact of this, losing Rodri and his back up for a while has seen them tank. Similarly us missing Hermansen, Fatawu, Winks, and Ndidi is obviously worse than if it were Ward, BDCR, Skipp, and Hamza.
