Seems to me like they know relegation is unlikely and are just banking the money. Could bite you of course but given the rumours of clubs with deductions coming and the general weakness of the promoted sides you'd think you'll be comfortably PL still.

Thought I'd seen it said that Sara was £20m. Seems like Gala and Norwich appeasing their own fans with their messaging.

And I think overall that is the right approach. But the experience often is at the cost of resale value and I'm not sure we dig ourselves out of the financial (PSR rules really) hole via accumulation of older players.

Last year we were a little too wedded to inverting a full back, but the best thing about that system was that we had the perfect player for it in Ricardo. Really allowed him to shine. Not sure if he can do the more athletic full back game any more, certainly not for a full season.

The weird thing now is that I don't think we're short of experience. You've got Vardy at 37, Coady at 31, Vestergaard at 32, BDR at 31... It doesn't look like there's a big hole there for this squad. The success of our long term business model probably depends on getting in good young players and making a profit. Last summer felt much better organised.

Enzo was twerking in the shop window to whoever would look all last season in fairness. We all knew it was a stepping stone job but it's fair for fans to be a bit annoyed when he legs it less than a year later, even if we understand the reasoning.

Thought Enzo showed more flexibility in that game then he did at any point with us to be honest.

Must admit, my first thought was that it would leave us looking pretty solid in the middle for the Championship. It's a Soumare upgrade so as long as that exchange happens for not too much money then I'm on board. Doesn't feel like this was the most pressing area we needed to strengthen in though.

It would be a fitting comic end to this if their overturning of CL ban screwed us up massively, and then they get relegated in the season we do so that an auto place is gone next season.

Looks like that Ipswich defence has a few Bad Habits

What looked like a tepid first half from Liverpool is being turned into a thoroughly professional performance by this second half.

I'm not gonna laugh too much because I know we'll get similar slaps throughout on Monday.

Liverpool have basically created nothing to be fair. If you wanted a positive as an Ipswich fan it would be that the defence has looked pretty solid and played out from the back pretty well. A big plus given that was their weakness last season.

I think Ipswich showing that they'll squeeze everything out from the resources they have. I think there is a lack of quality there but they'll always be organised and putting in plenty of effort. Don't think they'll throw in the towel at any point.

Ipswich line up looks way off Prem standard. Think the three promoted teams have got a massive job.

It's going to be horrible for sure, but it's nowhere near gonna be the worst in the clubs history. You're in the top tier for a start. It could well be one of the least enjoyable though.
