We were praised in the home leg v Athletico for having a go.
The truth was though that we were really quite defensive early on, waited for them to score, then we had a go when it was way too late
Which has been my point...we have a squad full of workhorses and barely any that are comfortable with possession based football.
what I have seen is us pass it around the back...it gets to midfield and drinkwater either looks at the long punt over the top or out other midfielders happily shirk responsibility and give it straight back to our defenders..
I struggle to see what plan B is because I know for sure there are not enough 'footballers' in our squad that are comfortable with possession based football. 100k a week and can not string together half a dozen passes!
I was convinved that Shakey was the right man after he turned around our season but then the last 2/3 performances of the season worried me.
Happy with Maguire, Iborra I think will struggle in a midfield 2. (He was found wanting when out of possession v Luton!!)
Ihaenacho when he eventually signs will hopefully give us a lift but will not be the answer to our problems.
We are desperately short of creativity through midfield going forward.
Drinkwater is a shadow of the PL winning player and constantly still looks for the aimless Vardy ball.
Overloaded with workhorse midfielders that are all similar.
Shakey needs to change the identity of the LCFC team, get players comfortable in possession and a different approach.
with our difficult start to the season I find us struggling and fear he may not see November..
Right, I am in through my desktop (cant view loyalty points on my phone though)
We had 5 of us on family and friends last season....Yet only myself and son I can see now..Any ideas how to add people ?
Tuesday night 9.30 ish
As fans made their way through one of the plaza mayor exits (this particular one was like a jitty) the riot police were about 10 metres away but half a dozen more in riot gear ran around and blocked the exit at the other end and charged towards 4/5 innocent fans...struck them repeatedly with their batons and arrested them.
i was 3/4 seconds from being cornered myself.
This was after already being struck by a baton inside the square whilst being simply stood their offering no threat to anyone.
Tuesday the police were totally out of order!!
Musa = Poor
Slimani = Very average
We put nearly 50m into attacking options when it was as clear as day we needed an established PL CB aswell as a creative gem of a midfielder..
