Agree with everything you said and I wanted the expansion to happen as an existing ST holder. But after relegation for me it should not be a priority and gain no more traction until we establish ourselves back in the premier league.

If we spend more than a couple of years outside the premier league attendances will drop and there will be no waiting list for season tickets making any expansion a logistical and financial burden. Less than 10 years ago I couldn’t give my season ticket away if I couldn’t make a game. Too many people just assuming we will go straight back up, you need ambition but was anyone even thinking about expanding the ground when we’re last in the championship. We are in the same position again now.

You could turn that on its head and say anyone wanting the expansion is only people who care about their own situation in getting a ST. I haven’t seen anyone say in the long term we should not expand but we are now in the championship and the priorities have to lay elsewhere.

Yes I am a ST holder and have been since 1995. I have two boys who in the current situation may never get a season ticket so I understand your frustration. What is your personal priority does not make it the right priority for the club and every other supporter. If we spend 3+ years in the championship you will easily get your season ticket.
