QPR (H) - FA Cup 3rd Round (11th Jan, 2pm)
adejo92 replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Start the first team so that we can get knocked out and concentrate on the league. Start the youth players vs Palace to try and get 3 points. -
We'll get done by Palace, 100%
-
Crystal Palace have managed draws with Chelsea (twice), Man City, Newcastle, Aston Villa & Man Utd. Wolves have managed to beat Man Utd, draw with Tottenham, beat Fulham, draw with Brighton & Forest. Everton have managed draws with Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Brentford, Fulham, Newcastle. What have we managed? A draw to Tottenham and a win over Bournemouth? None of the teams mentioned are having great seasons, that why they are near the bottom end of the table... But let's not pretend that we've even tried to compete with the other relegation candidates. Most of the teams that those mentioned have managed draws and wins against, have absolutely pumped us. We're down. If you're going to bend over for all the 'big teams' then you've got to be beating all of those around you....bar West Ham, we don't do that either.
-
Fair play to Ipswich, must feel lovely to go down with a fight.
-
Wonder where them points come from then. You'd think the likes of Palace at home but I think they'll beat us too.
-
I'd actually rather the club run a competition, or pick someone from fan cam than stick with JJ. I'd argue that Filbert would probably be an improvement. But yeah, I'm with you on Hamza. I'm not saying he's an improvement, but he can't be any worse and it might give the other players some confidence knowing he's behind them rather than JJ (and that's saying something!)
-
To be fair, this is a fan base that claps you off for the worst performances known to man. A fan base that will clap you off after a disgraceful relegation. If its at a stage where fans of this club boo or abuse you, it's probably time to hang up your boots / gloves. JJ is single handedly relegating us, in fact, we'll probably find that the damages is already done when you look at the points he's cost us. Now I'm not one for 'bullying' but let's not pretend JJ's up against Italian or South American Ultras. RVN needs to take him out of the team, Choudhury genuinely can't not be any worse. Even if he's just as bad, take JJ out for his own good, confidence is none existant, he must dread match days.

Genuinely can't believe people are trying to blame anyone other than JJ for that second goal. You get taught as a child to put the ball out of play if in danger. The same way you get taught not to pass across your goal line etc etc. It's football basics that you will Genuinely see children abide by on a Sunday morning. It's absolutely criminal that a professional football, in the Premier League, can be making these mistakes. Can't blame Ayew for JJ's absolute suicide football. I'd say it's beyond belief, but nothings beyond JJ's level of incompetence & stupidity.

Please get Mavididi off, it's a bit embarrassing now. -

Is Mavididi even a professional footballer? -

I mean, okay we haven't conceded yet, but it's still been 45 minutes of attack v defence. We need to start threatening their end. As nice as a point my be, we need to start picking up 3 points if we want to give ourselves even a chance of survival. Mavididi having a poor game (as per usual) and absolutely 0 service to Vardy. -

Thomas coming in is a forced move, I get it, but Ayew straight back in is shocking. -
That can't be right, if that's our line up, I'm convinced RVN has been sent here to sabotage us.
-
It's just frustrating because you essentially start a goal down just starting JJ. With all the analytics in football now days, there's absolutely no way that every single team we play aren't instructed to attack down our left side.
-
Its the only time in the week they get to string more than 2 passes together.

If we were losing games through bad luck, I'd agree. We just don't look very good. There's got to be huge improvements. -
Everyone bar Southampton are far superior home and away.
-
Wouldn't have been an issue if we hadn't have lay out the red carpet and rolled over.. Pep would be down the Job Centre. But in seriousness, Yes Pep did notice his performance and it's even been noted somewhere that Pep told BEK as much. Pep will see lots of good individual performances throughout the season though, they don't just bid on everyone that has a good game against them.
-
I think rightly or wrongly, and however good we think he is now, BDR will be seen as a 'proven' Premier league player and has a lot of experience given 200+ appearances for Fulham. There's also probably a pressure for him to get minutes due to him being on decent money. I'm not saying I agree, I think he's extremely poor and didn't exactly have amazing stats at Fulham....but I think that's probably the reason. I'd love to see Alves get a chance but I also do wonder what this forum sees in him that none of the managers clearly have...
-
Bottom 3 where we belong.
-
We won't even get a sniff against these.
-
Man City were sh1t yesterday and still walked away with a 2-0 win... They were sh1t the game before and Everton got a draw. We make sh1t teams look good because we're dog sh1t.
-
I really couldn't care about Ipswich results because rightly or wrongly, I've already written them off alongside Southampton and ourselves. There's still a chance of survival, of course, but I just see the teams above us as being much more capable of turning around form and picking up points. I don't see Ipswich or ourselves getting more points than Wolves, Palace and Everton, regardless of how quick the league table can change.
