We haven’t been charged by the EFL. They wanted us to send in a business plan on how we would slash costs enough to not breach PSR, but we argued as we were a PL club at the time of the last accounts, we didn’t need to. We won the case. They’ve still not charged us and now they’re trying to punish us again because they suspect we might be in breach of PSR come the end of this current season. The accounting period for the 2023-24 season ends on the 30th June. The club will try to navigate through the crack of being promoted from the domain of the EFL, thus escaping any punishment from them, but we will be punished by the PL regardless if found guilty.

I mean it’s not without justification. This is a punishment being enacted before guilt is determined. The EFL have tried to hammer LCFC because they suspect the club will fail P&S at the end of this current season. This punishment does seem premature, which is exactly what the club said.
