  1. I agree. He's definitely a talent, but also a ' flair player' in a position we do have more experience players fulfilling. Whilst it's a shame to (possibly) see him go, he's not irreplaceable.
  2. Fine be me. Rowett is not the answer as his 3 month's or so 'try before you buy' clearly showed.
  3. Surly his arm doesn't stretch that far? You could well be spot on, but what's the point of shelling out millions in compensation packages just to rinse and repeat with a different managerial face. I'm genuinely interested in how you have come to your conclusion (not spoiling for and argument)
  4. Your points make sense my friend, and I truly hope you are correct. Like you I have no idea as to who it will, or even should be. But to contradict myself a smidge, I just can't shift this nagging gut feeling that the lure of Russell "B-Tec Rodgers" Martin's brand of possession based dog sh1t will be too great for the incompetent, clueless Nepo Baby too resist. His so far unending quest to play like Man City, so that we can "Promote next season" is too ingrained in the waddling little horse lover, and I fear with Martin's out of work status, in 'Kvnt' Top's eyes it's too good of an opportunity not to repeat the same mistake of offering a ludicrous salary to get him to "lower his standards" and.join us in League One.
  5. Mmm. I see your point, but he has the opportunity during his short caretaker stint to shake things up. No attempt to change or at least tweak some of the glaringly obvious problems from the previous manager, like reviewing team selections, change a stagnant , predictable starting formation that had yielded mainly problems, and not opportunities to cause the opposition problems. Adopt a more direct style and move away from the tippy happy still seeping into our play. No, all he did was churn out more the same cr@p, continue picking the same cr@p starting 11, adopt the same 4231 formation. To all intent and purposes a carbon copy of what got Marti the sack. When he could have gone 4132, dropped the dross like Thomas, BdDR, Ayew and a past his best Ricky P etc for some youth, and tried a more direct style or even roll back time and try and counter attack. Ok it may have failed miserably, but we'll never know. But what we do know is he did if we are being honest bugger all and that's what we got in return
  6. Thanks for that. Bit if you're sure it's not him (and how have you come to that conclusion) then who. Or are we all still playing the manager guessing game still
  7. I bloody hope not. If that tw@t is appointed then it proves they have learnt fvck all from past failures, and McCarron is either a clueless d1ck or a puppet used as a front for Teflon Jon to hide behind. In which case a waste of time and a salary.....
  8. We'd be lucky to NOT to get him. The bloke is an incompetent fraud, who loves the sound of his own voice. He is 10000% not what we need at the club, EVER!!! His horrendous managerial record speaks volumes as to why we (or any club really) don't need the tw@t as a "manager" and I use that term in its loosest possible sense....
  9. Mirrors my stance 100% I've posted several times something very similar and stated I'll take a 'sabbatical' whilst he's in charge The club hasn't learnt a thing from its past failures and it makes me wonder just how much of a free reign and actual influence McCarron has. Or is the Nepo Baby still putting the 'find me a possession manager like Pep', so we "promote next season"
  10. Part of me wants Brussell appointed just to get the fraud sacked ASAP and finally out of the picture. Plus it means I don't have to rush back for the beginning of the season as I'll be on my Brussell Fartin Sabbatical from the club.
  11. Ok for possibly the 4th time now, I'll break out the crayons and try and explain it again. Its because people do care that they are wanting Top, Rudkin and Co out of the club. Using your words 'this to be a humiliation and embarrassment' is not to fuel their hatred of Top and Rudkin, that disdain is already there in buckets full due to their own incompetence, poor decision making etc. spanning the last 5 or 6 seasons and leaving us with League One football and the mountain of other avoidable problems to date Refering back to the actual title of this thread the vast majority of those who have a problem with the match think the timing is totally wrong, that it's very existence is being marketed off the back of arguably our greatest achievement just when we are are at our lowest point, both in the football pyramid and the overall shambles of our day to day running. Their gripe is in their option the club has yet again failed too read the room, and this "celebration" is in the aforementioned timing above in bad taste and a bit crass, and the club plugging it as a celebration off the back of a recent relegation sticks in many peoples throats. Your point about the past players being 'added into that scenario'. The players involved all know our current situation, The players involved will be aware that on the whole this match isn't being received by the fan base, as the poor ticket sales to date highlights. The rubbish sales has nothing to do with the posts on Foxestalk it's the wider audience staying away for their own reasons, (be that financial, on holiday, agreeing that it's in poor taste/timing or any other reason) but staying away they most definitely are. The players involved, are all grown adults, none are being forced to play, even when putting 2 and 2 together from the points above that actually hint towards the match being a bad idea, they are still lacing up their boots. So if running out to around 5000 in a 32000+ capacity stadium is a humiliation and embarrassment on their own heads be it. That's the crux of the matter for most, its the timing of the match. The shambolic marketing, the horrendous merchandise, the fact more effort and communication has been put in over a "charity match" compared to the league hasn't helped but these are only additional gripes once they have unfolded post announcement of the match.
  12. Oh hello. OnlyOneCity is back boys and girls, I was begining to miss you my friend.
  13. A sabbatical from the club for me if Russel 'B-Tec Rodgers" Martin is appointed. Polar opposite in 100% everything we currently need. The bloke is an incompetent fraud, a bullsh1t spouting media whore, who's horrendous managerial records tell it's own story without any embellishment to prove that he's just plain fvcking awful... Don't be surprised if he is appointed to fulfil our esteemed leader's fixation with possession based Pepball and his quest to turn us into a poor mans Clone of Man City.. But fear not, under the Nepo Baby's second too none leadership "we promote next season".
  14. He really has proven that his is a Bull Sh1tting, PR spinning, clueless d1ck. I don't really care what course of events are needed for it to happen, but this baffoon HAS to be removed somehow. We are doomed to fail in all aspects until he waddles off to play with his little Gee Gee's...
  15. Let's hope so. There has been many a post in the past were we have been clambering for the club to do some due diligence over the next appointment. Due to our League One status we also have the added problem of the managerial pool we are fishing in is limited both in quality and in all fairness probably quantity. The club however does need to make it public if Gaz the Coward Rowett is officially buggering off or not. I appreciate it was made clear that his contract was until the end of the season, but wasn't the end of a specific month mentioned somewhere, so maybe we have to wait for this future date before the club posts "We'd like to thank Gaz for all his hard work and wish him the best for the future -but hope the door doesn't hit him too hard on the arse on the way out" on the club web site. Hopefully at this point rumblings of the new manager may start to surface. Or the club is doing bugger all as normal....
  16. I'm the same. For me, apart for the obvious reason for playing the match, to win, 3 points, next round of a cup etc. I also watch football to be entertained, and even though I did understand the reasons and mechanics of Enzoball, it was simply "not my cup of tea". Much in the same way as I find cricket about as exciting as weeding the patio with a spoon. No doubt cricket is a skillfully sport, but god it's ponderous and dull, Ice hockey on the other hand, I'm quite happy to watch.
  17. Oh well, I'll just go and join quite a few others with the same view and disorder as me then. But it doesn't detract from the fact that a large number of posters here on Foxestalk, regardless of their limitations on not picking up on the nuances of High Brow football and the technical intracasies of "build up with intent" all still class whatever they are physically watching as coma inducing and boring as sh1t, regardless of how it's badged.
  18. Nope... It was just boring mate. Also 56 passes in our own half, gradually making it to their 18 Yard box to turn around l pass back and start build up play again is hardly attacking football. I hate Rodgers with a burning passion, but his brand of sabotage... Sorry, sorry football was more attacking and he to had a tendency to like his teams to pi$$ around with it at the back.
  19. Sorry, and in English please, I haven't the faintest idea what you are trying to convey
  20. Spot On. I agree wholeheartedly. Was Enzo a good coach? - yes, 100% Did he have success? -yes, Did we win more matches than we lost? - yes Did he fulfill his remit of promotion? - yes All of the above are the technical aspects of his management, and are what he was employed and paid good money to deliver. Promotion that season was proof of his overall success. But the point others are making is that whilst he ultimately delivered, his tactics, style of play, and Enzoball philosophy when deployed each match was a "weapons grade snooze fest", that apart from the euphoric instant when scoring the actual goal(s) happened ,the rest of the time whilst technically good and successful in it application wasn't pleasing on the eye and hardly heart thumping, even to medium levels of adrenaline inducing entertainment... No, it was for majority of the time slow, drab,. methodical build up play, with frustration inducing back and sideways passing. Yep BORING. In no way could it truly be described as entertaining. Just affective at gaining positive results. Currently we haven't got the squad or the resources to build a squad competent enough to implement Enzoball anyway so it's academic anyway. Which IMO is a god send...
  21. Hard to compare. He did that with a far superior team at his disposal, both in technical ability and individual mentality, and if he had had the current crop of dog-sh1t during 23/24 I sorely doubt he'd have had anywhere near the same levels.of success and the levels of "entertainment" due to it. He was paid to do a job of getting us promoted, which he did, (even though Enzoball was eventually "found out" and it became a bit of a slog at the end) and as a coach to get his idea and philosophy across I'll give credit where credits due he was good. BUT. Regardless of the winning and scoring of goals (with the better team), playing under his management style for 99% of the match we were boring as fvck too watch. Frustrating as hell with his quest to control "looking for solutions" the tedious back and sideways passing when on the cusp of a promising attack. For me the 1% when scoring the goals does not out way the 99% when Enzoball was doing it's level best to slip me into a coma. Personally I couldn't give two sh1t's where he goes next to sap any true entertainment out of a match with his Enzoball, just as long as it's not here occupying our home dugout.....
  22. I've always said that the only way we get rid of K*nt Top,KP and hopefully Rudkin is when dictated by the finances. Not Protests, Boycotts or plane banners, (they don't care a 'single jot' about the fans and chats for them to fvck off falls on deaf ears ) but actually when the club hits a point and is forced into administration. The incompetent bell3nds lack the ability to learn and adapt, or they are just to arrogant to think there are real problems and that they are causing them. They just jump from one catastrophe to the next catastrophe. From the PR scripted Interview he's given to the horrendous mess we are in now under his leadership, it's pretty obvious that K*nt Top is as thick as pig sh1t, but what I don't get is, surely he can see that if he puts the club up for sale now he will get "X" amount, but if he chooses to continue down the current path administration awaits, and after the asset stipping and all the other stuff to pay off people (sorry for the over simplification, as I no knowledge or real interest in the subject of administration) he will end up far worse off...or am I missing something here?
  23. Great post. But the fact that everything you have said is unfortunately so painfully true and the club is incapable of fixing any of it makes it worse
  24. Played about with AI asking to find our next manager. League One experience, promotion success, no nonsense, happy to use youth and promote them, fine working on a budget, and not hell bent on making us into a Clone of Man City with that snooze fest possession based cr@p.. Out of 10.. 1. Neil Critchley — 9/10 2. Michael Duff — 8.5/10 3. Darren Ferguson — 8/10 4. Liam Manning — 7.5/10 5. Leam Richardson — 7/10 6. Grant McCann — 6.5/10 Not sure how I feel about the list and who I'd want..
  25. Spot On, I like Fuchs as a person and as a player. However, League One truly is an horrendous place to be playing football, and taking in consideration our current circumstances one we need to escape ASAP or our existence is actually in danger. Fuchs is way too inexperienced at the moment, especially for the dog fight I'm expecting next season, we need someone who has been there, got the T-Shirt, wrote the book at this level, and had some tangible success at it. Whoever it is won't be glamorous, or a big name, and they don't have to be. We don't need someone who can give a post match media speech worthy of a BAFTA, we need someone no nonsense, with an idea of how to play league one and hopefully championship football, because they have done it, it's their bread and butter. We just need to be as a team league one competent, with an identity that isn't a Clone of Man City (as we don't have the players or resources) but with a playing style that fits our current set of player's, be that senior and realistic youth options and that any our meager transfer budget can stretch too, but most importantly that plays to their strengths if possible, not an unrealistic style/philosophy. It's easier to get players who work hard, have a better than average skill set of passing, ball control etc. for our current standing, than trying to find expense, technically gifted players needed to play a Pep/Enzoball. We need proven experience here, not an eloquent showman, or a big name, or an untested manager from Scandinavia, we need someone with actual hit the ground running knowledge...
