Cayman, Kees & Cain back in today...

It kind of already is ruined. Certainly at club level anyway, with the same clubs dominating financially and hoarding all the talent.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

It says Monaco were 'hoping for a bidding war'. You've no evidence that one actually happened. Man U and Arsenal may have enquired about Tielemans but there's no evidence in there that either ever made an official bid. -

But clubs don't directly bid against each other like in an auction. Football just doesn't work like that. You either make an acceptable offer or you don't. -

Bidding wars don't really exist in football. Each interested club will have their own set valuation of what they think the player is worth and they'll simply move on to their next target if that is exceeded. -
I think the reason we had such a makeshift team was because we had played away at Man City less than 48 hours earlier, whereas Liverpool had had a week's rest because their previous game had been called off. Remarkable result considering.

No, it wasn't. Amartey and Ndidi played at CB in that Liverpool game. Hamza played in midfield and was subbed off for Lookman on 56 mins, and Lookman scored the winner 3 minutes after coming on. https://fbref.com/en/matches/8ad7b26f/Leicester-City-Liverpool-December-28-2021-Premier-League Hamza did play CB against Watford in the Cup the following week. https://fbref.com/en/matches/fd2ca892/Leicester-City-Watford-January-8-2022-FA-Cup

Their goalkeeper looks quite small in stature. Might work in our favour.

Just need to stay in this until Kelly and Agyemang come on to pep us up.

Torn to shreds there. Good goal.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

Ray French, 85. A distinctive voice that was part of the soundtrack of my youth. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/articles/c30z37z157jo -
Penalty!

And how do they know the quality of it if they never watch it?

Double nutmeg!

Bring back Phil Neville!

Waited far too long to make more subs here.

It's ridiculous how it's almost impossible to get booked in the women's game.
-
Is Russo our female equivalent of Harry Kane? Can't deny her goalscoring record, but is she hindering England's general play? Time to get Agyemang on soon I reckon.
-
Lauren James always looks so sad. Like she'd rather be doing anything else than playing football.

Americans have been consistently winning The Open since they first started coming over to play it in the 1920s. I don't think the wind (or lack thereof) is going to make much of a difference to that. Besides, it gets incredibly windy in Texas, where Scheffler is from, so I doubt it would bother him in the slightest if it was windy.

Mads Hermansen (close to 18m move to West Ham)
SouthStandUpperTier replied to MPH's topic in Transfer Talk
Chelsea always seem to get inflated fees for their players, possibly partly due to the fact that their players are all signed to ridiculously long contracts (Petrovic signed a 7 year deal when he joined Chelsea in 2023). We, on the other hand, are negotiating from a position of weakness, due to us being relegated and constantly flirting with PSR difficulties. Kelleher had one-year left on his Liverpool deal and went to Brentford for £17m, so I think Mads, with 3-years left, will go for a fee somewhere in the middle of Kelleher and Petrovic. About £20-21m. -
Glad France lost. They were truly awful tonight.
