I honestly wouldn't recognise a single Eurovision song since Gina G in the mid-90s. But it's not really about the actual songs anymore, it's about the spectacle, and embracing the comedy weirdness of it all.

Mads Hermansen (close to 18m move to West Ham)
SouthStandUpperTier replied to MPH's topic in Transfer Talk
That's inevetably what happens when you keep getting relegated. -
Harsh in the sense that most of it wasn't his fault, but...Matt Piper.

And not forgetting when they rinsed us to the tune of £18.4m for Dennis Praet. -
Going to be interesting to see how much longer the WSL live stream the non-Sky games on YouTube. Obviously it helps to get as many people as possible watching the WSL, but it will undoubtedly have the downside of reducing actual attendances.

It's not a critique. It's a plain fact. -

Absolutely zero quality in this game. -
And both he and Sheff U will be shat straight back down to the Championship, probably breaking Derby's record low points tally.

A fair assessment of our season by ESPN... https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/45080275/wsl-season-grades-chelsea-a+-spurs-f-plus-were-best-players LEICESTER CITY (D) An injury crisis threatened to derail Leicester's season -- at one point the side had no fit forwards available. Yet they responded well to clinch a 1-1 draw against a Chelsea side that had won nine out of nine games in December. With other lower-table teams picking up wins, Leicester needed good home wins over Villa, Liverpool and Brighton in 2025 to keep clear of danger and were helped by Crystal Palace's early drop-off. Warning signs have been there for Leicester for some time and another season passes without much improvement.

Mavs just won the draft lottery with a 1.8% chance

And yesterday's win at Fulham was only the 2nd win for Everton since mid-February . After the initial bounce under Moyes they have pretty much reverted to type.

Congratulations Derby!...Your record is safe.

Shockingly bad standard of play in this Drago/Burden match. Entertaining though.

And here I was looking forward to watching him standing on the ball for seconds on end next season, trying to draw the likes of Stoke, Derby and Preston out of their low block.

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
SouthStandUpperTier replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
He's what the Yanks would call a JAG (just another guy). Harsh to call him useless, but he doesn't do anything particularly well. The kind of player that you can just about carry in a good side like Bologna without noticing his deficiencies, but here......you really notice them. -

Iversen gone to Preston (out of contract)

My recollection was that Arsenal enquired about Youri in '21 or '22 but we pretty much priced him out of a move and neither they nor any other club actually came in with a formal bid. Could be wrong, but I seem to remember something along those lines. -
Livecam for the Osprey nest at Manton Bay, Rutland Water. 4 eggs this year, with the first one laid on 2nd April so should be hatching in the next week or so....

Mads Hermansen Officially Signs
SouthStandUpperTier replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Mads is good, but he's by no means a 'must have' for other teams. They'll simply go elsewhere if we try to hold out for more than £20m. -

Sorry, I don't quite follow this logic. Why would other clubs (potential buyers) care how many keepers we have? It's not their problem. -

We still have that same DoF. And as with 2 years ago we have backed ourselves into the exact same terrible negotiating position due to relegation - where potential buyers know you have to sell.
