  1. Thanks for at least seeing my point. So at the start of the season (even after the transfer window closed, if you like), with a new manager installed, you looked at the opening 9 games and though, 11 points is what we should get from them, and have a health gap to the relegation zone? Well let's look at what that would have looked like Lcfc v Tottenham (narrow home defeat, don't get trounced? 0 points) Fulham v lcfc (pick up a point away at decent mid table team - 1 point) Lcfc v villa ( they will have top much (they are champions league man!) -0 point) Palace v lcfc (a renowned bogey ground for us, they should be clear of relegation and we have signed 2 of their cast-offs... 1 point) Lcfc v Everton (well clear of relegation even with a points deduction. But relegation rivals, need to win, must win. 3 points) Arsenal v lcfc (keep the score down, don't kill our goal difference 0 points) Lcfc v Bournemouth (should be clear of relegation, but we are at home, 3 points) Southampton v leicester (must win, even away, 3 points) Lcfc v forest. (We are at home, get in to them, win 1 points.) This is 12 points I think this would have been very optimistic trying to be in the mindset for what a newly promoted team might achieve. W3, d3 l3 solid mid table. What was yours? I think to not achieve a very optimistic outcome isn't cause for the sack.
  2. And there it is...... he hasn't had a really great start to the season, beyond most people's expectations.... sack him!
  3. My expectation is that we can stay up. 17th is acceptable. I think my point is really this: if we had 11 or 12 points now, that would have been a really good start to the season and surpassed most people's expectations (surely!). It seems an over reaction to call for someone to be sacked because they didn't achieve this by 2 or 3 points. People are reacting like we are one of the teams without a win and we are on 3 points. If that was the case,I could understand the point. But this just seems like a massive over reaction.
  4. The last manager who won something with us was maresca, who I'm pretty sure a good number of posters were 'thanks for everything, but I'm not sure your tactics or stubbornness would cut it in the Premier league' Basically your point actually helps explain as to why we have some fans with seriously unrealistic expectations.
  5. You would think relegation rivals not winning and dropping points would make leicester fans happy, but I've just got a feeling there are going to be a few disappointed people out there! 😄
  6. Managers with half a brain would.
  7. So you think the 'Enzo out' lot are now the 'Cooper in' lot? I find that difficult to believe. I would actually love to see a poll on that... I'm genuinely curious!
  8. I was actually one of the ones saying we could be in trouble the season before we got relegated, and but for a clutch of wonder goals at the start of the season, we probably would have been. I think you are under thinking things. You seem to think the bottom 4, who don't have a win between them are suddenly going to win twice in the next 2 games? Of course a win or two will tighten things up for someone, but if anyone is saying they expected us to have more than 9 points from 9 games and be more than a couple of points outside the relegation zone is delusional. And they are applying a delusional standard to the manager. Of course I expect to play more consistently over 90mins, but I think it's unrealistic to complain about the points total we have actually managed to accrue.
  9. Really, I even remember posts along the lines of: well, even if it's working here, it won't in the prem, sack him in the summer and get (insert dinosaur here) in. And, 'but we didn't even get 100 points' Wasn't there a poll late in the season with 75% wanting him out, with about 5 games to go?
  10. I think the problem some of the posters have are: a)if we did win seven or so games in a row then lost, they would then come out with the same complaints, like last season B) there are posters who think we should be winning 7 games in a row, and if we aren't, they won't be happy....
  11. I'm not talking down the 'fan base'. I think it's a mistake to assume Foxes talk is representative of the fan base. We are well clear of the relegation zone after a quarter of the season. Clearly forest are a well drilled, organised team, who are now 5th. Of course it's possible to lose games like that, and to even look terrible at times, that's just the nature of where we are as a team at the minute. But we aren't even one of the 4 teams that have failed to win this season, and the moaning is off the charts. What does success look like this season? Honestly?
  12. Enzo got similar last season. The fact is, people shut up for a couple of games until a defeat comes in. We were 14th after 8 games. If that was below expectations coming in to the season, then people had the wrong expectations for the season. We seem to have this weird mix of, we are terrible, and certain to get relegated, but being 6 points clear of the relegation zone after 8 games still wasn't good enough some how.
  13. Saw it last year when we lost after 10 games or so.....
  14. Yes.
  15. Yes, then he took the job, and and booed off at Bristol having missed loads of chances, losing 1-0 and being top of the league. At the end of the season, he left. I think I would have done, as well.....
  16. If we had just come off a 7 game winning streak, but then lost like yesterday how many of these posts would have been posted? I guess a lot of them? I remember Enzo losing the odd game, then people came out screaming 'see! He's stubborn!' It's just hilarious really. If a lot of our fans were arsenal fans, they would definitely have wanted arteta sacking after the Bournemouth defeat....
  17. Any manager considering leicester would be thinking: a newly promoted team nearly went in to the top half of the table, but they lost, so they want rid of the manager..... OK.
  18. 11 to overtake him!
  19. We have some soft goals away, but forest are obviously a pretty good, well-drilled, side. Game like that will be lost occasionally. Hopefully we bounce back in the next game.
  20. I think he is referring to two seasons ago, where you wouldn't get your ticket in the post and would have to collect with ID at the away ground. They were doing it for about 100 away tickets per game. No ID, no ticket.
  21. His passing is very good, his long passing in particular. His crossing is largely good. His close control is good and he has flip flaps in his locker. He is basically an excellent player! (I think I'm a fan! 😄)
  22. The previous record of 'big chances created' in the Championship was 23.... fatawu destroyed that, turning up a few games into the season. I think he is technically pretty good....
  23. Fun fact: In the 2015/16 season, ranieri started schlupp and de laet as our fullbacks. We kept no clean sheets and in the eight game we lost 5-2 at home to arsenal. So he made a change: for the next game against Norwich, he swapped both full backs to fuchs and Simpson, forming a back 4 with huth and morgan which any fan would name as our back four in 'our starting 11 in the season we won the league'. For that Norwich game, de laet was dropped. But sclupp retained his starting place by being moved forward to the wing, with Mahrez dropping out. So let's just keep in mind it is still relatively early in the season, we have an OK points total, and a new manager who may still find his best starting 11.
  24. People were saying that last season when he broke the championship big chances created in a season record by 50%.....
  25. Last season, Fatawu shattered the 'big chances created in a championship season' record (by about 50%!) All whist apparently being inconsistent and raw. The guy is a premium player. That's just a fact. He turned that game on its head yesterday.
