What if we go all season, looking horrific in games for whole halves, but still pick up plenty of points to be clear of relegation? Would that suffice?
-
This might seem controversial, but as a leicester fan, i hope we win. It sounds crazy, but hear me out! I think we have a good chance of staying up if we win this game, even under Cooper. So I am hoping for a win.
-
And yet that Heskey assist is still one of the best of all time!
-
I love the fact when you look at the list of who vardy has scored against in order of most, the top teams feature near the top!
-
Vinicious Jr will be crying next year, as well, by the look of it! 😄 🤣

It actually happened under Rodgers in our relegation season, where we seemed to be light in numbers all over the pitch. With that, I think it was lack of player effort, this feels more that they are just a bit disconnected.

I've just thought, not having this forums tagline as 'chat sh*t, get banned' is a massive missed opportunity!

I think ten hag would have gone stronger if still in place, due to definitely needing to win. Hopefully they will go weaker and we might have a chance.
-
They are one place, and two points ahead of us. Ten hag has spent over £600m.... its more a lesson in perspective, if anything.

The thing that stood out for me was the criticism of our wingers, and the criticism of our defenders handling wingers. It looked to me though, that every time say fatawu got the ball and moved towards a defender there were usually two in attendance, with sometime a third on hand in case he somehow got through. Time and again, their wingers seemed to just have one defender to face, and if they got past them, they seemed to be driving straight at our box, with no one near them. No back up whatsoever. That must be a tactics issue, right?

After 9 games, we have a relatively healthy cushion to the relegation zone. Of course it might not be enough, but to say we have been the worst team and we have been the most 'consistently poor' team just doesn't make sense. It's more likely that you just watch leicester more closely than the other teams.

The 'shake it all about' thread?
-
I am sure the fans who wanted him in wouldn't already be demanding his sacking after a run like that even in this league, let alone the championship!
-
I am assuming either a) a season ticket holder with a card gave it someone to use B)someone screen shotted (or photographed) the qr entry code from the phone There are other options, but probably one of them?
-
So they should have few obstacles, that would help?
-
And we are one of only two teams who have scored in every game and we are in 14th. Crazy.....
-
If they were the results in the next 2 games, I would be more understanding of the out position.
-
Thanks for at least seeing my point. So at the start of the season (even after the transfer window closed, if you like), with a new manager installed, you looked at the opening 9 games and though, 11 points is what we should get from them, and have a health gap to the relegation zone? Well let's look at what that would have looked like Lcfc v Tottenham (narrow home defeat, don't get trounced? 0 points) Fulham v lcfc (pick up a point away at decent mid table team - 1 point) Lcfc v villa ( they will have top much (they are champions league man!) -0 point) Palace v lcfc (a renowned bogey ground for us, they should be clear of relegation and we have signed 2 of their cast-offs... 1 point) Lcfc v Everton (well clear of relegation even with a points deduction. But relegation rivals, need to win, must win. 3 points) Arsenal v lcfc (keep the score down, don't kill our goal difference 0 points) Lcfc v Bournemouth (should be clear of relegation, but we are at home, 3 points) Southampton v leicester (must win, even away, 3 points) Lcfc v forest. (We are at home, get in to them, win 1 points.) This is 12 points I think this would have been very optimistic trying to be in the mindset for what a newly promoted team might achieve. W3, d3 l3 solid mid table. What was yours? I think to not achieve a very optimistic outcome isn't cause for the sack.
-
And there it is...... he hasn't had a really great start to the season, beyond most people's expectations.... sack him!
-
My expectation is that we can stay up. 17th is acceptable. I think my point is really this: if we had 11 or 12 points now, that would have been a really good start to the season and surpassed most people's expectations (surely!). It seems an over reaction to call for someone to be sacked because they didn't achieve this by 2 or 3 points. People are reacting like we are one of the teams without a win and we are on 3 points. If that was the case,I could understand the point. But this just seems like a massive over reaction.

The last manager who won something with us was maresca, who I'm pretty sure a good number of posters were 'thanks for everything, but I'm not sure your tactics or stubbornness would cut it in the Premier league' Basically your point actually helps explain as to why we have some fans with seriously unrealistic expectations.
-
You would think relegation rivals not winning and dropping points would make leicester fans happy, but I've just got a feeling there are going to be a few disappointed people out there! 😄
-
Managers with half a brain would.
-
So you think the 'Enzo out' lot are now the 'Cooper in' lot? I find that difficult to believe. I would actually love to see a poll on that... I'm genuinely curious!
-
I was actually one of the ones saying we could be in trouble the season before we got relegated, and but for a clutch of wonder goals at the start of the season, we probably would have been. I think you are under thinking things. You seem to think the bottom 4, who don't have a win between them are suddenly going to win twice in the next 2 games? Of course a win or two will tighten things up for someone, but if anyone is saying they expected us to have more than 9 points from 9 games and be more than a couple of points outside the relegation zone is delusional. And they are applying a delusional standard to the manager. Of course I expect to play more consistently over 90mins, but I think it's unrealistic to complain about the points total we have actually managed to accrue.
