Players like Bellingham, Foden, Saka and Kane have had long seasons at clubs challenging for trophies. They are jaded, close to exhaustion. They should have been rested for a game or two. It's no surprise that someone like Palmer can come on as a breath of fresh air. We should be playing (at least for a game or two in the group) players like Bowen, Gordon, Palmer and Watkins.

Palmers great but he can't do it all.

I can see us getting some goals tonight.

A club that, let's face it, is currently a bit more stable and is more likely to avoid a relegation battle with "fans" giving him earache every time he doesn't excel. Plus he can then live on the beautiful south coast.

The Last Goodbye by Tim Weaver. Superb story-telling; just when you think it's all explained another twist emerges. Really enjoyed this and will seek out his other novels.

This is perhaps the English problem. Our players have plenty of skill, but all too often they haven't experience of playing abroad. It's getting better with the likes of Trippier, Bellingham, and now Kane.

JB is pure class. But if we get the 2nd goal cushion I'd like to see him subbed. He's going to be subject to a lot of niggly tackles.

But we've got such a strong squad, everyone says so. Hang on, am I confusing teams...
