Kind of the point. They don’t. You cannot play like you expect to be playing Luke every week, you have to work hard. Youth is showing why it needs the seniors, just as the seniors show why need the youth. The younger players all look like they trying to make a showreel, they mature and appreciate the discipline and effort required to succeed as a team. The senior pro’s need the youth to keep the tempo high, keep them fresh, keep them pushed and it’s all to the benefit of the whole team.

Isn’t that the opposite of what required? If we were to change manager it would need to be someone who has done it before, would brook no dissent from the team as they have the demonstrable experience to achieve promotion from a troubled position. You could quote Enzo of course, but I doubt lightening would strike twice on this.

So what are the options? Sack him Risk repeating the cycle without further changes upstairs Might land on the next Enzo/emerging coach Stick with him Let him have this season and assuming we don’t look like going down, see how the momentum is come Easter Let him have the season, but give him some directive to further integrate the youth players Give him until December and if we don’t pick up, terminate The youth thing hangs over this forum like some panacea or silver bullet, but we can see how ineffective youth can be, just as dis functional as some of the senior pros. Of course they are the future, but have doubts that future is right now.

What about if there aren’t any solutions? If we are that rotten that only time and accepting of a new reality is the only way through this?

I was thinking (and still do) we need to stick with someone, but lack of progression of our play does it bloody hard to back you Marti. Yeah I know you got dealt a bad hand, yeah I know the players are largely rotten, but come on man.

It is 100% NOT that in my mind, we are systemically poor, we really completely on individual moments rather than team structure and tactics.
