Schreuder. But I’d be happy with Challinor. Duff gives off Pearson type vibes as he won’t take any shit and that’s something we need.
-
I’d rather we stay clear of ex players. King and Rowett are prime examples as to ex players not working. My preference if you want experience in league 1 would be Michael Duff at Wycombe or Tom Cleverly at Plymouth. I realize Cleverly has played for us previously but he has more experience than Fuchs. Dave Challinor at Stockport as well but I think they’ll go up. Going for the cheapest option has been our downfall the last few summers. We should have got Corberan in the summer Enzo went and last summer should have got Rohl. I’m hopeful that we will also look abroad having been linked with Schreuder. Fuchs wouldn’t even be under consideration if it wasn’t for him being an ex player.
-
Imo Fuchs is not the answer for next season.
-
Steffen Baumgart.
-
Guaranteed Ayew gets a contract extension if Rowett stays. His obsession with shit old players is one of the reasons not to keep him. Also being a dreadful draw specialist Oxford reject manager is another.
-
Thomas Reis. Has experience working with youth. Decent record in Germany. Readily available.
-
Yes I mean Pearson, Ranieri, O’Neil and Little who had no previous history with us were pretty shit……
-
Fvck off Forest. 3-1 on aggregate to Villa.
-
Based on what? keeping a side up and being an ex player. Really hope we don’t go down the ex player route because he knows the club. Made all the difference hiring Rowett and King……
-
Completely agree. Who knows had we got Corberan instead of paying 30m+ for Ayew and Skipp where we’d be. The same last summer with Rohl.
-
Wasting my time I know but I’ve had a look at coaches with a background in the youth set up which hopefully is what we using more. Daniel Bauer Eirik Horneland Marcel Rapp Johann Louvel Not that these clowns will consider anyone from abroad but we should at least be looking further afield.
-
I would add who are readily available Gerhard Struber Will Still Ryan Mason Valerian Ismael Not that keen on any of the above. Currently at league 1 clubs I’d like us to at least look at Michael Duff and Tom Cleverly.
-
Yes I’m told many times to fvck off. 😂 Depends how long the meeting goes on for his contract is up at the end of the season wish all the best for the future and tell him to go. It’s not as if he’s been a huge success.
-
What the fvck is the point of having a meeting with him? Tell him to go and get someone else in. 2 wins in 14 is pathetic. What is there to discuss? How shit he is and his obsession with playing past it players while holding back the youngsters. Should have got rid once relegation was confirmed.
-
We didn’t get him/he didn’t want it when we were in the premiership or championship. In what world is he going to want to join us in league 1?
-
Just watched an interview with Robbie Keane on Sky Sports. Wouldn’t be surprised if we went for him. Ticks the boxes for these clowns. His agent is Wasserman and he’s a well known name.
-
They are doing what they normally do throwing a certain name out there and seeing what the response is from the fans. They did the same thing when Ruud was going and Mr Ego Russell Martin was the apparent name in the frame.
-
I don’t get the argument that because he’s an ex player that he knows the club and would be a great appointment. Have we learnt nothing from the same approach with King - been here 10 years+ as a player and coach and clearly isn’t ready and the same can be said to a lot lesser extent Rowett? Our most successful managers in recent years have had no previous link to the club - Ranieri, Pearson, O’Neil and Little. Fuchs wouldn’t even be under consideration if it wasn’t for him being an ex player.
-
I’ve heard he’s been signed up for Strictly. They think he’ll be great with his dancing shoes and step overs.
-
Are there any other examples of a former player similar to Fuchs going back to a club that’s feel away dramatically like us and rebuild the team? Genuinely be interested to know if there is anyone. I’m not convinced with him taking over.
-
Definitely. 😂 Missed our chance last summer. I’m still looking at who’s going to be the Hassenhutl of this summer.
-
Ole, Scott Parker, Hassenhutl, Russell Martin, and Gerrard won’t manage in league 1.
-
I’d rather we wouldn’t go down that route but I’m just pointing out that Cleverley imo is better option than the other 2.
-
Forget Fuchs and Wellens if we want an ex player in as manager we should go for Tom Cleverley.
-
The question is who from that list do we end up with next season? I reckon it’ll be Struber or Ismael.
