Forest did this and qualified for Europe the season after. We literally sold KDH just so we could make the signings we made for Cooper. So much of how they have operated over the last few years has been to make it look like everything is okay to the fans and manager. Those signings for Maresca could not have been anything other than that. Once he was well in the door and they knew he wouldn't walk away from a title win, they just let him know there's no money. Likewise that KDH sale would have been all about giving cooper a few signings. Then later in the season just lied to Ruud before he signed. It's actually unbelievable.
