Nothing fills me with renewed optimism this club is pulling in the right direction again than renewing the contract of a 24 year old Striker with 2 goals in 20 games in League Two.

Doesn't really add up that if he had a release clause we were sat there dictating where he goes and with all these clauses. Unless all the bids were below the clause value. I think it was well documented that Crystal Palace were going to go for him and decided against it.

One thing that season does prove is how much difference is makes having good squad players happy to be good squad players. We don't even have players happy to start for us now.

If both of them have taken as much shit as they have, the you can't begrudge them getting credit. There's quite a strange amount of users who seem a lot more happy to post shit than anything positive. You won't find a bigger critic of the club than me and this season has been a disgrace, but the amount who have revelled in that on here is borderline psychotic.

I'll just be happy to see end of this season and hope we survive, but it's impossible to watch that 90 minutes and not think what if we had a decent coach from the start. Game management was so much better. Pressing, effort. All the basics. Can talk with exotic managers all you want about philosophy but we've lacked all them basics all season and it's why we are struggling. Not over by any means, need same again Saturday.

I think how good he is and how indicative he is of the culture of this club are too separate things. He's played very well at this level for us and other clubs at times. Yet, this idea because he's from here that he cares has been disproven time and time again. Not least by the disgraceful video after the cup loss. His effort for us for god knows how long has been disgusting and the worst part of that isn't even on him. It's on our club. You can act like that because the bar is that ****ing low that you just need a month on the sidelines. The passive fans, of which there are thousands, will just tell us to get behind the lads. All is forgotten and you end up with these standards. The worst thing is he's about 15th on the list of players I can't wait to see the back of. The club is in the worst state imaginable and it's because of players like him.

You're right and we won't forget it, but for now we do need him if we are going to get out of this.

When you think what that game was at the City Ground when Knockaert scored last minute, that was effectively a quarter final to get into a semi final. If they can replicate that game with these games then I don't see an issue. People saying you can be 8th and still go up. Well you can meander around in 10th or 11th until the latter games and get in the play offs so there's not a lot of difference now. If it was 3 up, 3 down the league would be incredibly boring.

I don't think PSR will even come into the thinking if we have Harry Winks in League One. It will be get rid at all costs to save the club from being bankrupt first.

Have to admit the only time I heard anything to do with how much they supposedly did was when the Birch said it the day after Vichai died. No one's exactly going to come out and question it. Never seen any proof of it. Makes for a good story though, just like it being all because of them we've won anything.
