  1. Tbf, Leicester people aren't wired positive. There were numerous predictions of 6-0 drubbing at Ipswich last week. I think it's a typical PL game. Probably a home win much in the way you'd probably expect them to beat Brentford or Fulham or Everton ....but likewise it's no great suprise if the away team walk away with three points. It's how the PL works.
  2. I don't think he went for money. He went to push himself as far as he can. You owe it to yourself to give it a go. Not many are like Vards who worked out he was best as an agitator, a rebel. I don't think he'll seek a move. But Chelsea may well force him out. And if so, I suspect he'll end up at another PL team. Please KDH not to that red filth! He couldn't could he?!
  3. Why wouldn't the shop employ a couple of proper bouncers like bars do in town? These gormless security guards (usually look like quiet, regular Joe African dudes) with a high Viz armbands, working on minimum wage don't exactly provide a deterrent.
  4. Then don't play him. Like Eduardo
  5. Ffs, just when I thought Cooper had finally sussed BdcR, we find out it's only due to injury. He'll be back stinking out the gaff asap
  6. Yup, fair points. Better would've been that Brighton might not get chance to enjoy him. Fwiw, he isn't there at top level yet. But he has ALL the hallmarks he could be very soon. First three or four games he was finding his feet. Next three or four he started to blossom. I think within the next four or five with confidence and form, he'll have become our best player
  7. Yes, far more likely is that Brighton never get to see him playing for them. A breakout season with us, he could be sold for big money to a CL club next summer. Be thankful that we have him.
  8. Ex Manager. Just listening to Pleaty plugging his autobiography discussing his alleged whoremongering. I always thought it was a given. Bang to rights. But maybe it wasn't...Pleat sounded quite convincing in his story; basically reeling from his arrest and then a fabricated story from a hooker and, being in an emotional mess, just went along with Spurs forcing him out. Can't imagine there's much in his book on us. Disastrous, arrogant manager for us
  9. Van Nistelrooy absolutely rinsing their first xi fitness for his own stats and CV.
  10. Just enjoy him whilst he's here. He looks the real deal. The only chance he signs for us is if he is pretty ordinary. In which case, we wouldn't want him anyways
  11. The argument has validity. But the absolute refusal of enzo's teams to play a quick ball occasionally made the striker role a thankless task. I don't think the lad is anything special, just some raw material where a half decent manager should be able to make something out of.
  12. Very high I'd reckon
  13. Met someone last year who's fella was in the military. I never knew, but military means free health care means an element of security. Edit; including their immediate family Genuinely had no idea prior of that edgy, precarious life yanks lead,....as you say, one complicated pregnancy away from financial meltdown
  14. Quite easy.. I just tell them not to rely on politicians to dictate their lives. That, largely, you can more or less shape your life within most reasonable margins regardless of Harris / Biden / Trump / Sunak / Starmer was voted in. ....well, shape your life except for medium level flu illnesses creating martial law,.obvs
  15. Lol.anyone considering a move to the UK must be doolally. Talk about frying pan to fire
  16. I'm convinced he's the type of lad who with clear instructions and the confidence that he won't be dropped if he sticks to it, he'll go do it for you. Just good old fashioned man management at times to coax the best out of a player. The rest, namely finishing in Daka's case, will come once the player is fully confident
  17. Nick de Marco. He was the lawyer who got us off, right?? Another feather in his cap. He's got Benjamin Mendy's wages from Man City. If I'm ever in legal trouble, I want this guy.
  18. It appears to be a shambles. Aren't there different voting/counting methods too? Not just from state to state but even polling station to station
  19. City's socials are loving it tbf. Morsy and some other clown completely emasculated by Bouba, and the social teammate rubbing it in
  20. Isn't that a plus point for a trust? They should be a campaigning group, at times a thorn in the side of the club, the conscience, the voice of the fans and a contrary view to the Thai worship cult sycophancy that reigns down there.
  21. I'm kinda ok with the lad. He seems dozy af but largely likeable. But let's be calm. He switches off, is positionally useless and his tracking back is woeful. Starting him would be disastrous.. As a sub, perfectly happy when the game is in front of him and he can run powerfully from deep carrying the ball
  22. I think a lot of us underestimate how hard it is to win at a team who are desperate, crowd still up for it and committed to the manager. I think lots of decent PL teams - Brighton, Forest, Newcastle - will have drawn Saturday, ridden a bit of a storm and be happy with a point. Doesnt mean Ipswich are any good though
  23. Been looking yesterday and today for Ipswich's own highlights. None this far. I wanna here their commentators suffer as Ayew rolls it in. On repeat Edit; just looked again. Nada. Oooo I bet they suffered and don't wanna show it. ITFC - announce highlights!
  24. I agree with most of your post above, but in both games, I felt we had gears. We were frustratingly stuck in second for most of both games but we moved through the gears quite beautifully in a way neither of them were able to do. I know we all point to saints having a man sent off, but we'd already pulled it to 2-2 at that point at 11 v 11
  25. BdcR is one of the worst players I've ever seen represent us. McAteer isn't McAteer did more today in 20 mins than bdcr has done in 10 games, league and cup
