  1. But Iversen is. A perfectly respectable championship level GK
  2. Because no decent manager would have Ward anywhere near a 25 man squad, let alone the bench.. Enzo demoted Ward to effectively be the GK coach and warm up assistant. That was his job last year.
  3. He doesn't tho. Two seasons ago I watched him closely exactly for things like that. He can't even set a wall up properly. He doesn't know what to cover. When mads arrived, it was marked how precise his is, squatting/leaning/squinting to get maximum angles covered. Ward sticks 4 fingers up,.left a bit, right a bit, that'll do.
  4. Wasn't convinced when he was appointed and nothing - not even the 4 points - has convinced me since. We have a real raw deal with injuries at the moment. A decent manager then had to work around that. We were set up for a heavy defeat yesterday. A midfield stripped of its best players and he simply went like like with inferior replacements..it was a feeble,. unimaginative decision....it was clear to mug punters like us the midfield needed to be beefed up. Other red flags; *Coady wasn't good enough to make a championship bench half the time. *Ward on the bench. Watching him for 3/4 minutes in training allowing every shot in (anyone ever seen the training videos? And those are ward highlights!) ...should be enough for a manager *Vardy can't lead a line in a defensive set up. Never has. Plus he wasnt a regular starter last season, nor even relegation season. Now two years older and a level higher he's an ever present. * Not playing Buonnotte..i mean wtf?! *First two games not playing Mavididi. Again, wtf?! He got the job because top, Whelan and Rudkin don't know how to recruit a manager. They await an agency sending over a CV and go from there.
  5. I agree we could've been far more imaginative and found players if equal or better for far far less. But.... I kinda like him. Just yet another in a long long line who's been signed and then not played correctly. Like Soumare, he can operate in a three but not a two. Yesterday was mind numbingly obvious prior to the game we needed to pack midfield. We didn't - and paid the price. Doesn't matter if it was winks and Wilf, Soumare and Skipp, Hamza and Winks.... yesterday was always going to be too much for two in the middle.
  6. It's like Liz Truss leading the Tories again. The whole situation is agonising to witness
  7. Agree.. The relegation season the players knew,.no matter how well they played, how tactically astute we were, how many battles they won....it was completely futile as we essentially didn't play a GK. The oppo could shoot from any angle at any pace and probably score. It totally destroyed team morale In fact, that same season I remember he came on as sub for Wales in the world cup when Hennessy was sent off and two minutes after his introduction, Wales' world cup was over. Neither Goal was directly his fault. Just routine shots he's unable to react to. And the outfield players know it.
  8. I said it after the relegation season, I will never see him play for us again. I cannot and will not be party to him representing us. He seems a nice enough lad and I do feel for him. But he in every sense isn't worthy of the shirt. He should've had his contract paid up in full upon relegation and given beat wishes
  9. Don't play Ward.. Don't play Thomas. Edit; not even in the bench, removing temptation for them to play even a second Neither good enough to be professional footballers, let alone in a PL squad.
  10. Wouldn't let Coady anywhere near the bench
  11. Partly agree. But I remember the players in the relegation season, particularly against Chelsea when we were much the better side but for Ward to gift them three goals. Soul destroying It was visible as to how demoralising that wasnfor the outfield players. Shrugs of shoulders to the bench as if to say, what can we do with that in goal?
  12. Can't remember who in here said it after the Brentford match about the bubble bursting on some top level football coaches. The clown who picked that team was shown up for not knowing as much as Joe bloggs in the stands. Literally EVERYBODY could've told you what was gonna happen v Brentford. Same today. Most could tell you that the Ward experiment would be exposed within a few minutes. If not seconds. And so it proved. Many supporters / amateur players really do have a football intelligence at least on par with, and in many cases above, those professionals who've done all sorts of courses.
  13. For couple of hundred a week, there will be a taker.
  14. I stress that all this shite I throw at him ain't personal. I'd imagine he knows how bad he is and i do feel for him. It must be humiliation on a daily basis in training for him. 45k a week is compensation sure, but it can't be good for his soul to be so far the odd one out professionally
  15. Hate to be a smart arse, but that's why I can't get in board with Ruud. When cooper picked ward I was astounded. Horrified that a professional coach could see ward as anything other than emergency illness cover / cone collector
  16. Iversen
  17. He was demoted to goalkeeper coach last season. He did the crosses pre match and cine collecting. Enzo knew it. In fact anyone watching him for 30 seconds or more would no he ain't a pro
  18. I knew it. I knew if he played a second for us we'd go down. Today will be the day that sees us drop on goal difference. Not his fault. He shouldn't be at the club.
  19. I think he knocks 10-12 places off ANY team. Liverpool or Arsenal would finish lower middle table with him
  20. It really isn't hyperbolic. He isn't pro level. You could actually go down lower than the national league and occasionally find better keepers. In fact, it's not absurd to suggest that even some Sunday parks keepers who CBA due to booze and fitness etc would might keep him out of a pub side
  21. This
  22. It's been said over and over and over again. The lad isn't a professional standard keeper. There'd be 6 or 7 better keepers in the national league
  23. Was ever this .every team knew relegation season just shoot in target and it's in
  24. Agree. Injuries have fcked us in this one. This could be a really heavy defeat. Would love our full strength xi to go toe to toe with these. But I think we just gotta suck this one up
  25. I think it's a mating call of some description
