It's what the seconds should be, a pathway for the under-18s. A few seasons ago, the seconds used to win everything but was packed full of journeymen with no future here. -

And a keeper as well. Nice to see Madan still playing for the seconds, hopefully he can do enough to push for the first team this season. -

Dispiriting for tiring opposition bowlers. Both Green and Van Beek have played some lovely shots. -

Looks like we have the worst stream in county cricket - two static cameras and no commentary. -

Let's hope so, we've got no other batters apart from a few kids who aren't ready yet. -

Like Crawley, he's already out. -
They can't even stay onside now, it's like watching Phil Gee all over again

RR confirmed this on the stream yesterday. The Glamorgan commentator joked that Glam should be paying punters to attend after tea with what they were serving up. -

Yeh I think as you say we lack someone with that extra pace. Maybe Hull or Green can start to provide that but they are more likely some way off what we need. We'll miss Patel over the next couple of weeks as well. -

Great start, Holland wobbling it about nicely. -

Encouraging start, with the wicket playing better, hopefully Northeast doesn't bag another double ton -

When Handscomb comes in will the middle order shuffle down one with Trevaskis being left out? The Glamorgan attack won't be as strong -

That's a strong new ball attack Notts have - Stone, Pennington and Tongue - if they all stay fit. Patel looking very smooth. -
The USA is a country founded on conflict and that has always been the centre of its appeal and repugnancy. This era of Trump is essentially an retread to a 'wild west', where sheriffs were crocked and judges could be paid off. Trump and his acolytes loath Europeans for their social democratic tendencies that offer a welfare state as support mechanism and value a more centralised state. They are in control, they are going to abuse power and do everything they can to maintain power.

He's nuts, doesn't know what he is talking about -it would make a loss. The tests that Ireland hold usually make a loss even involving international sides because of the often not great weather and particularly because of the set up costs for stands etc. That's why they are building a permanent international stadium in West Dublin, to avoid the set-up costs. Malahide, beautiful ground and location, but just a club ground with no stands, so costs a fortune to transform it. -

I would probably go with: Wright Van Beek Mike Ben Green As my 4 seam bowlers for the first game, but depends how they all rock up over the friendlies. There will be lots rotation I'm sure. I see Holland playing primarily as a bat and an extra bowler, he's a real bits and pieces player -

Salisbury I assume won't be playing much at all, just seeing out the last year of his contract and helping lads like Tew in the seconds. Hopefully Wright will be back to getting 35-40 wickets after a proper pre-season. Van Beek will contribute in the matches he plays, but Currie is a miss across all formats. We might lose Hull for some matches, as he has a development contract, ECB gets a say on when he plays. -
Hopefully these proposals will be amended when they come to be voted on. It's so unnecessary, there are other ways of raising revenue. I never thought I would see a Labour government make proposals that will have such a detrimental effect on on the most vulnerable in our society. They should be creating a system that spreads the burden, not adds more to those less able to deal with it.

Still only 24. Certainly got a bit of height in the bowlers with him, Green, Hull, Wood and Wright. -

First wicket to Chris Wright. Aging like a good merlot.
