It’s probably the most sensible team we could put out at the moment. Just not Vestergaard….

I don’t pay any attention to the championship other than our games. Can’t stand it so I’m never bothered that it isn’t talked about as much.

Lots of things are concerning me at the moment, the biggest one being Marti naturally doesn’t know his best 11 at the moment, but he has more problems to boot, the squad is majorly fractured and must be difficult to work with at the moment. He’s got a core group who you can say you’ll trust to do the job on a match day, who are good enough…. Ayew, Mavididi, Bilal, Fatawu, Monga, McAteer (only just), Winks (on ability alone), Okoli, Stolarczyk, Ricardo and Page. He then has a group that clearly want away. Winks, Soumare, Faes, Kristiensen (injured). And Just appears to be on the verge of leaving. Then he has the group of player severely lacking in confidence Daka, Skipp and Soumare probably edges into this group too. He’s then got Vestergaard who is just claiming a wage, Hamza who’s just a rotation player at this level, and that about it. And Thomas who is a nothing player really, doesn’t offer anything in my opinion. So really, he can only really rely on a hand full of players. Preston are about as championship as you can get, consistently average, but capable of being competitive through desire and fight. Think that this is a good time for them to be playing us, due to the fragilities within our squad. There’s a real poor mentality about the team, a teams that just taken a consistent kicking for 12 months or so…. Lots of unanswered questions with this team, and if Marti isn’t able to bring bodies in, will he be able to influence this team as Maresca did. Today will be an interesting test, in attack, we’ve got enough. To take any team in the league apart, but defensively we’re a mess.

I think we would have about 4 players starting if we were playing players who wanted to be here 😂

I don’t think he is, if he doesn’t go I don’t think he will kick off about it. There’s been zero suggestions he has, I’ve even heard he’s told Moroccan media he wants to help us get back up.

Been poor in their opening two, like us. General consensus is they will struggle this season. But, they’re a team of battlers and scrappers….. and so far that hasn’t bode well for us for the best part of a year.

Not one player, but I can tell you, they will want this more than we will.

Clause has expired as far as I’m aware. I think we would know about it if it had been triggered. As I’ve said, why would anyone trigger his clause when it has days until it expires? As a potential buyer you’ll chance your arm at a low ball offer wouldn’t you? We know that we won’t accept any less than his clause, but to other clubs at the moment we appear desperate, so they may be thinking that we’re scratching around the back of sofa’s for cash, and put in a low offer to get him cheaper than we value him. No one was paying £25-30m for him, he’s not got the stats to justify that tag.

We’ve got the best three attacking midfielders in the league, by some distance, and once Monga eventually breaks through he will add to that. The central box is our Achilles heel….. and it’s more attitude than ability, but it’s such a problem it could easily ruin our season.

At this rate we will have no players left!

Bilal has been dropping deeper hasn’t he? So potentially his could be as well as Bilal? Then you’ve got that four man attack behind the striker.

I still don’t understand where people are plucking these figures from….. it wouldn’t surprise me if we get nothing.
