I think this is a tad harsh. Yes when it went stale it went stale, and there are certainly question marks over his approach to transfers V player profiles. But, it can’t be denied when we were good, we were ****ing good. The best performance I’ve ever seen by a Leicester team, was the dismantling of Aston Villa away a few years ago, it was simply sensational, we rocked up and just toyed with them for 90 minutes. And we did that a lot. Rodgers was bitty towards the end, but how much of that was down to what started to become the makings of a fracture bored room I don’t know……. His ability as a man for man coach is the best we’ve had in my opinion, to compare him to Taylor is really unfair, he delivered us the FA cup….. The destruction of the squad is unfair too, that falls to the board room. They decided to give him more creative licence, but they also dished out these horrendous contracts, they clearly weren’t honest with Brendan in making him think things were better than they were financially. The board are to blame for the destruction of the squad, they carry much more of the can than Rodgers did.

He’s the best manager we’ve ever had. We played some breathtaking football under him. There was a period in his second season where we dismantled all of the top sides…. Like you say, he lost interest in the project when the board did. He openly said he had made loads of arrangements and plans in the summer to move players on and bring players in, and nothing was said, came back after pre season and it was a case of “yea, we can’t sign anyone”…… that’ll be enough to turn anyone away. The only thing I won’t forgive him for, is tossing the project off and ultimately leading to the rot that sent us down. He could have kept that team up if he wanted, but like you say, he’s wasn’t obliged to cover for the boards mess.

We are still a great proposition. Leicester city under Rohl is a very different prospect to Leicester city under Martin. He would just look at Enzo, and think if he gets us up, it’s a ticket to a big job eventually. We want longevity yes, but if Rohl could take us up and keep us up, it will do wonders for his career.

Generally they do get it right. As you’ve said we’ve had more hits than misses with managers. It’s only really been Smith, Cooper and RVN that have been mistakes, but it’s no surprise Cooper and RVN coincide with PSR problems, and Dean Smith was up against it from the off. You can understand why they hung onto Rodgers for so long for some extent, but he tossed the towel in pretty much. Hopefully, they get it right again.

Give over, self entitled? How exactly? I again reiterate this is exactly the mindset that will allow King Power to continue to kill the club….. what’s self entitled about generating more money than any club of our size to not only piss it away, but manage to breach PSR in the process? What’s entitled about demanding those responsible be held accountable……. By actively showing our displeasure at frankly disgusting rumours like Russell Martin is the only way this board may get the message. Top is making hideous decision after hideous decision, and his backing band of Rudkin and Whelan are just as culpable….. appointing Russel Martin would be a disaster…. Especially with how fragile this club currently is…. Nothing will change if fans sit on their hands in silence, chanting out against the board, and poor decisions is the only way they may start to get the message. Staying silent is simply being complicit in their destruction of the club.

The state of this post…… And exactly the mentality that will see us disappear into the abyss. Can it be put more simply than somehow managing to spaff nearly half a billion coming through the club over ten years, landing ourselves in trouble with PSR and spectacularly collapsing from a position of stability to where we are now? We don’t need to move on, we need to enforce a change at the top of the club. Top needs to sell the football club…. Anyone who even considers suggesting we simply need to accept this situation is part of the problem.

Particularly when I don’t think there was much wrong about the decisions. Martinez had to go, and I can see why their goal was ruled out…. Their own fault for not being able to beat a shit Man United.

I don't agree with Southampton having vastly superior team. I wouldn’t have swapped any of their players for any of ours that season.
