  1. That was shocking! I at least expected to see a bit of Enzo ball cut they were proper scrapping thought.
  2. I think we will sign Nanasi out of the blue too.
  3. I can see a striker being a left field out of the blue option. I wonder if we will look to spin to the South American market…..
  4. Ah, and you know better than the spurs fans who say he is?
  5. This is amazing….. my mate a spurs fan says he’s brilliant, and would be perfect for a new team in the premier league, and we’re all losing our heads? I think it’s clear that we need another CM. Soumare is shit Hamza is shit And that leaves Winks and Ndidi……. One of those two gets injured, we’re ****ed. Skipp is a decent player, it definitely is not £20m it will be more like the £8m plus add on’s that my mate stated. Despite what people think, we do need a player like Skipp. It’s clear we are still looking to bring more in, a striker and a left back, perhaps Cooper has thought he can rely on Alves as an attacking option, would people not prefer that if it’s the case, rather than sigh someone?
  6. It’s not in excess of £20m…… he’s plucked that figure out of thin air.
  7. My mates heard £8m plus add on’s.
  8. Spoke to my mate who’s a spud. Really rates him. I think Cooper could to use a mix of formations this season, Skipp is experienced and a proper work horse. Like I’ve said, this season isn’t about refined football, we’re going to need to be hard to beat, and a bit rough around the edges….. Skipp will give us this. I’d much prefer Skipp as part of a midfield three with Winks and Ndidi over ****ing Hamza. The lad from Brighton will give us an extra creative dimension, but we’re probably worse off defensively, and Skipp will provide added cover for that. Id be happy with this signing.
  9. He can’t play the role, as much as he’s looked okay he is far better on the wing. If we play Mavadidi upfront we won’t get anything, Spurs’ defence is just far too good. There are question marks, over Cannon, but he’s a striker, and his hold up play is decent. If we try to play like Southampton have, and Ipswich have this weekend, Spurs will put 5 or 6 past us comfortably. We have to play in the transition, we can’t play out from the back, and we can’t look to dominate the ball. We need to set up defensively, and look to counter. We can only do this with Mavadidi and Fatawu on the wings. It just depends if Cooper does this, we know deep down he knows we can’t play a possession based game in the PL. This season is about fighting for our lives from match day one. Every game is a scrap, we need to be ****ing horrible.
  10. Harry Kane was thrust into the line light at spurs, and he was never really on the radar, a number of average loans yielded little results. Faith was put in him, and the rest was history. What I’m saying is, it takes one decent 90 minutes, and the rest could be history. Daka (now injured) has been given countless chances, and has produced nothing, the lads a complete waste of space, Vardy can’t be relied upon to be the main striker. Cannon needs to be given a fair chance, it’s one thing training, but games can bring out something different in players. I’ll be desperately annoyed and disappointed if Cooper opts to play Mavadidi out of position, and leave a striker on the bench……
  11. The biggest thing for me, is they will leave large amounts of space in behind. With Fatawu, Mavadidi, Ricardo and JJ we could exploit this. It’s going to be a shithouse win if anything, but that’s all I want!
  12. I think there’s a few crumbs of comfort, I thought a number of teams looked very poor. My Forest mate said they looked dog shit and have lost Danilo for the season it seems. Wolves didn’t look brilliant, Southampton looked like they were being managed by Brussel Martin, Everton look horrendous and Ipswich for the endeavour they have are still a championship team. One thing that is worth mentioning, they all appear to want to play the same way…. They all look to retain possession (Ipswich less so) and all are getting punished. I just hope Cooper has the sense to know this won’t work, and we go back to basics a bit. Now more than ever, football focused emphasising on a fast transition. We’ve got the ingredients to do this, two electric wingers and wing backs, and can if we want to put together a half decent defence. We lack a proper number 9, but hopefully that can be remedied over the coming weeks. Cooper just needs to be brave and do what he knows is right.
  13. “Dadadada Hoops, Spaghetti Cooper, dadadada Hoops, Spaghetti Cooper”
  14. I think he goes after the Southampton game, and our first win will come at home to Forest manager less.
  15. Probably is, but they’ve something good going at that club. I think they will stay up, ride a wave they’re currently on.
  16. Is he still a thing?
  17. Yep, fantastic to see us not getting another player! #vivatomcannon
  18. I imagine there will be.
  19. I do think this sentiment misses the point. Whereas your opinion is valid, and it’s admirable people can stay positive. This isn’t about success on the pitch, it’s about concerns over the running of the club. But when you consider what has happened in our last decade, I don’t think it remotely unreasonable to be dissatisfied with what is going on at the club. We’re currently sat 5th in the table in terms of money generated from player sales, £505.6m…. Yet we’re on the verge of a points deduction for breaching PRS… this proves complete mismanagement at the top. No one is taking for granted the success, and how delicate balance is in football, but there are many clubs that haven’t managed the implosion that we have managed, I don’t think it’s fair to suggest we’re stuck in the past either, we’re not, asking for longevity and a sustainable plan isn’t embarrassing…. Every fan has their own initiatives, I don’t expect us to be competing with the likes on Man City, but better leadership wouldn’t have resulted in the mess we’re in now. The conduct of the club has been poor, especially towards the fans, it’s clear they don’t care what we think and feel as fan groups. It would be interesting to get your views on; Ticket pricing Foxes player subscription fees for already paying customers Betting companies as a sponsor £25 fee for a physical season card Amongst many other out of touch practices the club are currently doing. It’s not negativity aimed at making the team perform badly, its frustration at seeing the club make the same mistakes over and over and over again. It’s plainly obvious Top needs to restructure his team, and this probably won’t change unless we endure a particularly horrendous season. No fan wants to watch their club suffer, but we’ve all been fans for a long time and will continue to be fans long after King Power has gone and it’s clear things need to change for the benefit of the club long term. I just don’t agree with a lot of things the club are doing at the moment, this doesn’t make be a baby, or a crap fan. I won’t boo the team when they lose, but I do want to see the Top rip his board room up and start again. Everything that’s happening in the club at the moment, is down to poor leadership.
  20. I think it’s fair to say with a degree of confidence, bar a miracle we’re going down. So, rather than appease Top and his mates lunacy, Cooper needs to grow a pair and look to building a young exiting team and look at the academy players. It’s looking likely that we will get relegated, so if much prefer we blood young players in and at least go down trying to build something. Get the likes of Alves, Nelson, Braybrook and Golding into the team. Look to try and pick up a few young talented players who need development. We can’t go back down with a battered squad of average players on massive wages, because it will then mean years of slumming it out in the championship. There’s a reason why teams like Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham and Brentford are starting to show signs of stability, there’s a plan, they all appear to have different plans, but long term plans and vision. I’ll even include Southampton in that too, they went down and invested in young players and are now back up, but I would say players wise they’re in better shape than us. There just doesn’t seem to be a plan, under Vichai there always seemed to be a long term vision it progressed gradually, and there were sum duds along the way but generally you could see the direction the club wanted to go in. Now, you can’t…..everything appears to be done on a whim, without thought or logic, everything is a reaction to something else rather than proper planning. It seemed like last season we were getting back on track, but Enzo leaving just proves the club still have no long term plan….. I get the impression they thought “Enzo will stay here forever”, but when he left, it was a scattergun approach to try and find a manager, and that’s continued into the transfer market. One of two things needs to happen to save this club. 1. Cooper makes it clear that he will look to build this club from the academy, and try and start to create a young hungry team on the pitch, but receive assurance that he will be given time to do this, even if it means we go down and have to follow in the footsteps of Bournemouth and Fulham to some degree. 2. We get completely humiliated this season, to the point of getting hammered every week, this forcing Top to asses his leadership team and make the necessary call to rip his board room apart, and start a fresh surround himself with decent football/business people.
  21. I think @ClaphamFox has nailed it. Cooper has likely been asked to play like Man City….. Enzo said “I can’t do that because you’re shit, but I can play my way which is similar”…. Cooper seems to have agreed to do it, but deep down he knows that he can’t with the current crop of players he has. Which is why he has been playing players out of positions, one to prove a point to the board, that if they want us to play in this way then they need to invest. Id like to think Cooper values his job more than that though, and come Monday night if he knows they can’t play in this manner he sets us up to be more robust. Unlike the championship, Rotherham probably hasn’t got the tools to undo you, but in the premier league, you play with feathers, you’ll get your arse tickled….. we will be lambs to slaughter, and Cooper know that. It’s just if he still wants to prove a point by letting us get embarrassed by spurs, or he sets the team up how he sees fit. I fear the club have eventually gone for Cooper because 1: naturally something happened when attempting to appoint Potter and 2: he’s agreed to everything they want.
  22. Problem is, the vast majority won’t. The group I go with, none of them have the bollocks to be against Top et al, through fear of not getting their free cake and beer. Were a minority on this forum, the majority of our fan base don’t take part in things like this, and they are the ones who would blindly follow the club everywhere, will buy shirts with betting companies on the belly and claim the free beers and cake, and be completely unaware of what is actually going on inside the club. The only way the fan base as a whole will turn, is if things get really bad on the pitch, to the point of getting whipped every weekend with no fight, then the majority will turn and potentially start to ask questions. The ideal scenario would be that doesn’t happen, we compete on the pitch but can air our frustration with the board at the same time, but this just won’t happen, the moment it does Top will wheel out the free beer and cake and all will be well again. It’s a very passive fan base collectively at the KP, the likely scenario at the end of the season will be we get panned every week, go down on minus points and the reaction will be “oh well, it just wasn’t our year this year duckeh”.
  23. I think it’s contextual. We’re a completely different beast to the club we supported then, we may as well be a different organisation all together. I think what motivates this unwavering fear of failure in us, is the fact the position we are in, is plain and simply down to negligence at board level, it’s not like we’re a small club with no resources, we should be a comfortable top 10-8 team with the resources we have, but those resources have been mismanaged, neglected and poorly invested and it’s led to where we are now. I think when you take all of this into consideration, this is why people feel it could be the worst season we’ve ever had. Simply because of the great height we’ve fallen from. 2008 in terms of league standing is absolutely a low point for the club, but we were a fairly modest organisation then, we’re not anymore, we’re poorly ran, and there’s a genuine chance we could lose every game, and get relegation with the worst stats ever produced in premier league history.
