It probably is the best squad. But it’s not being used properly. Enzo is ignoring the teams strengths and is trying to force his philosophy onto them. And in times of hardship that doesn’t breed confidence. It’s interesting looking at talisman’s body language, and KDH does not look remotely impressed at the moment.

It’s about how YOU set up. You have to tempt them out. There are ways of drawing teams out without just standing with the ball at the back waiting for something to happen. Any team will press when given a chance, you have to be clever with how you deal with it. We look to control every aspect of the game, and seemingly can’t. Sometimes you can place the emphasis onto the opponents and try to sucker punch them. And I don’t mean dink it over the top to Vardy, use the pace on the wings to attack the spaces.

I think he will leave too, regardless of what happens. I don’t know why, but I get the impression the relationship isn’t the best between him and the top brass. He strikes me as the type of guy who will speak his mind whether it’s wanted or not. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of those bizarre situations where we go up and they relieve him of his duties.

Ffs….. I know what you want me to say “gerrit forrard”.. back to basics is probably a change in formation, opt for a more defensively sound formation like a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3, play two traditional midfielders and not opt for the inverted full back. Rather than focus heavily on ball retention, and wearing the opposition down, look to absorb more of the pressure and seek opportunities to counter. When your confidence is frail as ours is, just going about the same thing over and over and over again in hope it will eventually work won’t cut it. Sometimes you have to go against your own beliefs to bring the confidence back and then you can start to focus on the preferred style after this. It’s not a case of smash it forward and hope for the best.

It’s quite clear that teams confidence has taken a prime Mike Tyson blow. The problem with this is, because of how we play, it takes longer to try and regain that confidence and form. Enzo is young in his career as many have eluded to, but this could be his undoing. He doesn’t have a “back to basics” it seems, and this is what you desperately need at times like this. Brendan didn’t either, and the problem with it is you continue to play a style of play with heightened levels of anxiety, and it just results in mistakes, nervous performances and an inability to get out of it. Our biggest threat is us, Enzo has an international break to sort it out, he’s got to think of some alternative ways of going about getting us back into form, you can’t simply keep going and hope you get back into form…

It’s incredible what 4 weeks can do. It wasn’t so long ago where you’d back us to go and win the game. Now, I don’t trust us to see games out…. There’s genuinely more chance of Hull scoring than us, we’re just so fragile at the moment it’s untrue.

I still think he needs to play Wilf as an inverted full back. He’s excellent at covering that area defensively, it’s just his ability with the ball that lets him down. Winks is l treading water in quicksand on his own at the moment.

JJ is a full back out and out. And he’s an incredible one. This position doesn’t suit him at all, but his pace gets him out of trouble.

He won’t take Faes off, no matter how bad he is. Hull’s team talk will be easy, just run at Faes, he’s a lunatic and will get sent off. It’s a defensive horror show. We looked far better defensively with Doyle and Coady on the back line. Coady has to come on to instil a sense of calm.
