Fans would be raging if we spent £25m on Asprilla, and he’s a much better investment than Sammie, it’s just far too much of a risk and desperate. 1. his too old and has no resale value 2. his stats are all from one season 3. no PL experience. Just not a good investment in my opinion, but because we’re Leicester we will spunk £20m on him because we like wasting money.

It rarely if ever happens like that. Plenty have players have smashed the EPL and made a mess of the PL. The issue with him is the price, Blackburn want a lot of money for him, and he just isn’t worth the risk.

£25m for a player with a year left on their deal is stupid business. For a club like Rennes who probably have less cash than us, it seems a mad decision.

Asprilla has a much higher ceiling than Whittaker in my opinion.

Absolutely a technique issue, definitely not a fluid runner. If she could tidy up her start, and work on the first portion of her race she would be better than she is, like you say her back end is phenomenal, she almost goes from 2nd to top gear mid race.

Yea, she’s odd. Sometimes she a look like she’s running in treacle. This seems to be common in the sprinting world, lots of sprinters have rubbish starts, like Bolt and they just don’t bother to work on them. Seems odd, I’m sure there’s some logic in it.

Shout out to Paige Madden. Trained at Loughborough for a few years to overcome some difficulties, and she’s just got herself a bronze medal! Another cracking lady and a worthy medalist!

Ledecky is unreal. She’s been dominant at the 800 and 1500 since she burst onto the scene in London. Also a lovely person too, had the pleasure of meeting her once, very humble woman. So pleased for her. Legend.

Being this close to the season, it’s definitely cooper showcasing we need more players. What I will say is, the phrase @Ric Flair used just after the relegation, malaise is bang on….. there’s a general air of malaise about the club…. It’s like they’ve still not woken up and are still sleep walking into a new season not grasping the full situation. It’s like we would rather fight the PRS punishment rather than prep for it…. What has really annoyed me, is it’s clear we aren’t getting the deduction until the season has started, it’s probably not coming until about November time…. So naturally you would hope we’re preparing to get ahead of the game, and start the season swinging and fighting to ensure we’ve got plenty of points on the board before it comes…… But I simply don’t trust us to approach the season like that, I actually think we’re winging it……. Leaving it to chance and hoping Cooper can perform a miracle.

What is a worry, is how comfortable teams are in the transition against us. And the fact Cooper won’t try Alves in the 10.

We need more composure at the back, and more cutting edge in attack.

This feels a bit like Cooper trying to prove we need new players. No changes, persistence with Daka….. either that or he’s mental.
