He's always been annoying, I think he causes quite a bit of damage by whipping up a frenzy for all of the big clubs. I’ve heard he gets paid by some clubs so start reporting on things to cause exactly what we’ve seen here, a bit of a bidding war and ensure the players go to the highest bidder.

This is definitely a squad signing, we like a loan signing to cover the forward line, and this is that. I don’t think this will be in place of Soule, because it’s clear the club wants a stand out attacking player. He’s a decent player I’d say he’s better than both Under and Yunus.

I’d probably take a punt on Pablo Solari, he’s a similar profile to Soule, and would cost a hell of a lot less.

This is incorrect…. Percy is a journalist, he has many sources he has less information fed to him from within the club now, but he still has access to information as a journalist. Italian sources are very loose lipped, mainly because they whip up frenzies, a lot of it rubbish. Don’t be naive to think that we’ve told Percy that we’ve slung a bid in and it’s a matter of time until it is done……. Percy would have got his information from the wider footballing network, that we’ve placed a bid, and the club were hopeful they could strike a deal….. there’s nothing concrete about that. People have misinterpreted this as a done deal due to Percy usually only revealing nailed on deals, but in this case, he was merely saying we’re part of a bidding war started by Juve….
